Best Civ of the whole series.

I wasn't expecting much from a Civilization game from 2005, but I was surprised to find this to be actually really fun and enjoyable. Great gameplay, great soundtrack, just a great game. The graphics are a little dated but I personally don't mind them much. The UI is a little older too but it's fine. Overall, it's a really good game and I'm glad I got it for dirt cheap on sale.

Прекрасная игра моего детства. Ощущение доминирования над всем миром незабываемое, как и разочарование, когда твои города сметает резко развившийся сосед. Как бы не бесили меня из воздуха появляющиеся армии в городах противника при осаде, игра просто шикарная. Что музыка, что графика, что геймплей занимают особое место в моем сердце.

I played this extensively prior to Steam. Probably the best Civilization since Civilization III.

This civ has one of the most iconic main menu songs of the entire series. I decided to give the older civ games a try again, and of course they are still addicting. I played until I won. Took two tries.

Ease of play and overall enjoyment. My favorite of all the CIV versions.

this game is awesome i haven't personally played much but one of the people i share this account with does and i love this game and find it fun so you can imagine how a person who probably put in 550 of the 556.9 hrs as of writing this loved this game i disagree because i love total war warhammer and conquest of eleysium but he says it's the best game of its genre
