Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Encounter the monsters of Terastae that defied the virtues of this world and are trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth. Use your special ability as an Aethermancer to form bonds with monsters to guide your party of three through a sprawling world and dangerous battles. Make smart skill choices as your monsters grow stronger and find synergies between your monsters - making every one truly unique!

Fight ferocious enemies and divine bosses in engaging turn-based battles where every action matters! Manage and harness the four elements of Aether to unleash powerful spells. Consider your synergies and plan your monsters actions. Purge enemy Aether, grind your opponents down with poison, protect your allies with shields, focus on attacking with the right elements - you can pursue different strategies! But whatever you do, keep a careful eye on the HP of your monsters…

If a monster dies in combat, you’ll lose it. Permanently. But you have the power to defy death by rebirthing their souls. Don’t lose hope! Your monsters might change in the process, but will still be the same companions you once established a soul bond with and will grow stronger from their previous lives.

With every level up you get to decide in which direction your monsters will grow. Every monster has a dynamic skill pool that reacts to previous choices and other monsters you have in your team, enabling you to create powerful teams. Experiment with a myriad of unique team builds with every run!

Meet various characters who will help you and your monsters throughout your journey! Uncover their stories and dig into the lore of this world - all fueled by your choices and encounters. Help liven the village up by gathering townsfolk, hearing them out, and doing what only a true Aethermancer can do!

The Aethermancer has many faces - and each of them come with entirely new mechanics and abilities. Unlock new player classes to shake up the way you play and how you decide to build your party.

Use your Aethermancer abilities to explore, sneak and fight your way through procedurally generated levels while your monsters gain Worthiness. Keep going until you lose your monsters… then come back stronger and try again!

This game got me through the traumatic and difficult birth of my first born. It creates a itch that can only be scratched with ONE MORE RUN. Please release more stuff I love you forever Moi Rai Games.
It's a roguelike sponsored by a foreign government's money and it still can't be out on time. Aethermancer is just meh. Tons of great ideas flushed into the roguelike mire, where "lol so random" is used to substitute for actual content. I've got better things to do than blow 100 hours on a 5 hour game they pad via RNG and grinding. The problem is if Aethermancer was a storydriven game with no roguelike crap, then it probably would have been a great game, but the devs chose this path.

Fun game ruined by the dialogue; it's like they wanted to fuse Buddhism, postmodernism, and hyper-progressivism altogether into this profound and thought provoking narrative, but it's just obnoxious word slop that's bereft of reasoning. It starts off unnoticed or subtle but comes on overwhelmingly aggressive as time goes on. By midgame you're always getting lectured about the bigotry and ignorance of humans, who once enslaved the wonderful and diverse monsterkin, or about the need of people (humans) to set aside their privilege and see things through the experience of others before they judge, because seemingly the only truly bad act in life is intolerance (even when the game also tells you there is no good or bad/right or wrong in life because it all comes from the same essence). There are an unbearable amount of individual characters with 'they/them' pronouns, which by the way makes the script utterly confusing to anyone who speaks regular English... Honestly it feels like the dialogue was written by an undergraduate from Berkley with a degree in the negative effects of European colonialism on animal sexuality. I loved monster sanctuary and had high hopes for this game, but I'm just too put off by the script. You could just say, 'why not just skip the dialogue and only play the game?' Sure, and I may do that to get to the end out of nostalgia for monster sanctuary. But without the negative review I feel like that just incentivizes these types of people to continue ruining video games by forcing their nonsensical and anti-reality beliefs into literally everything. I'm old enough to remember what happened to the Dragon Age series, and if there is no pushback from the video game community, every game will be a Veilguard at this point.
First time writing a review and it's for a game I adoreee! If you guys cannot tell already by the playtime, I am obsessed with Aethermancer. I stumbled upon the demo, played it and just fell in love with the game immediately. I haven't played too many rougelite monster catchers like Aethermancer, but I'm kinda hooked on the genre now. What I love about this game are its music, pixelated art style, the diverse battle system and creatures. That's not to say it doesnt't have its flaws but since it is still early access I still have high hopes that the devs will turn it out great!
Like Monster Sanctuary meets Hades but minus the fun, at least not to me. The balance is whack and variety is garbage. 40 monsters just doesn't cut it honestly, and even the 60 planned on "full release" sounds pretty terrible. If you want to scratch that Creature Collection itch, and haven't yet, play Monster Sanctuary. It's pretty great
Overall an ok game, but pretty repetitive and very slow with adding new content. There are spots of dialogue that are extremely awkward shoehorned in politics that really make me question the judgement of the devs.
If you enjoy roguelikes, creature collection and teambuilding - then give it a shot. Its a fantastic game!
This game had been appearing in my queue, it was on sale, reviews were decent. I looked at it and thought "Oh, so it's like Wizard of Legend + creature collecting? I can dig that." Besides I hadn't found anything else during the last steam sale that I was really into, and just wanted to come away from it with something. Maybe I should've just let the sale slide and kept my $20. The problems with this game can be tied to one key word: Progression. Interestingly, I mean this in three ways: gameplay progression, plot progression, and political progression. Gameplay: I did binge-play this game for a few days, I will give it that much. I did have to crank up the combat speed in settings to offset how slow it felt, but otherwise in many ways I enjoyed the tactical RPG system, which was sort of a combo of various other systems I'd seen implemented, between its emphasis on buffs/debuffs, breaking mechanics, and points-based skill usage. That being said, a lot of battles end up turning into a grind when you just don't have the means to quickly or efficiently stagger foes. Against bosses, staggering feels especially unrewarding. The concepts are all there, I think, they just lack proper execution. Perhaps in time, since this is still early access, the devs will do something to make each encounter more diverse and fast-paced. Right now though, it feels very grind-y. And the bosses (the two that I have been able to encounter, anyway) are way too strong and have ironically godlike mechanics. Plot: Wait, what? There's a plot to this game? I never would've guessed. There's just no background, no proper exposition, no context; characters reference other characters and you just have NO CLUE who or what they are talking about. It's like you went out to lunch with your new friend and your friend's childhood friend, and the two of them practically share their own unique language and you are left on the sidelines. Political: Okay seriously, even to many people on the left, this game has WAAAAY too many they/them pronouns. Forget the political statement you're trying to make or the worldview you are attempting to represent; this is just really bad for storytelling. Again with the plot problems. I reached my limit of -trying- to comprehend what was going on when this old aethermancer ghost appeared and started chatting with the protagonist after I got WIPED by that beetle boss guy, and there is just NO WAY to piece sense together from their conversation. Also my limit for playing the game in its current state, for all of the above reasons. I do want to like this game. I like roguelikes and I like creature collecting, and in theory I like them both together. This game just needs some work done. I do hope the developers pay attention to everything players are saying about the early access version.
So ugh.. I renamed Cockatrice to C*ck and I'm not sure how to change the name back 🤣 Pretty fun game though
Finally, a roguelike "deck builder" that isn't based on cards!
