I'm happy to say that the sequel to the average Shrine is actually pretty good... for the most part. First let's talk about the positives. You play as Donald Tusk. Yet again Kaczyński has shrouded the entire world in darkness and it's your job to fix it. The graphics, the music, the design of the enemies and weapons, it's all great. Level design is better than in Shrine 1... at least in the first half of the game. On later stages it becomes yet again primitive and too crammed in. Also the difficulty is a joke. The game is either too easy or impossible to beat. These are not qualities you want in an FPS title. Overall I'm giving this 6/10. It's free, pretty short (3-5 hours to beat), it has atmosphere and some cool ideas. But also it sucks at certain aspects. It should be patched, so the difficulty can make sense and the later levels should be expanded / redone. In today's day and age when we have hundreds of fantastic boomer shooters and the best ones like Dusk, Amid Evil, Herald Of Havoc etc are often on sale, it's hard to choose Shrine II. Play this if you have a lot of free time and you're broke. Otherwise get some cash and buy Dread Templar or Hrot instead, you'll thank me.

10/10 hermoso TC
First one is definitely better. This one just has too much BS in it. Like levels you literally can't complete unless you have enough health. Also a boss battle with unavoidable attacks. Thankfully you can enable god mode. Overall still pretty fun but not perfect.
Hard as f*uck but very fun, too. Longer than the first game, too.
Pretty big spike in difficulty near the end that encouraged me to cheat. Honestly, that was still fun as I felt like Tusk just kept gradually ascending to godhood (of a cosmic horror variety) as I selectively used the doom terminal commands (give health, give ammo, and fly) as needed. Notably bizarre atmosphere and weapon/enemy variety in this mod which I appreciated.
"First person shooter made in the doom engine" is a bit misleading. Selaco is a first person shooter made in the doom engine, this one is just a glorified total conversion mod, and a not really good one at that. I liked the soundtrack, the artstyle and the arsenal, but ammunition is incredibly scarce, and unlike in normal doom, the small enemies don't drop ammo for your bread-and-butter weapons. The mod tries to solve this issue by having multiple ranged weapons with practically infinite ammo, but all this achieves is that the optimal way of playing becomes to hide in a corner, spam quicksaves and slowly chipping away at the health of the very spongy enemies. The levels tend to look quite boring, because this game really likes big open areas, but in those areas there's no variation in the textures used. The level design isn't good either, it's serviceable at best, and infuriating at the worst. At one point, the game expected me to have a grenade to activate a hidden lever to progress, but i didn't have any, so i had to use noclip to resolve the lock. Conclusion: Just play FreeDoom. Also: This game features the tankiest dog enemy in all of video game history.
