Sherlock Holmes: The Silver Earring

Acabo de empezar, pero me encanta. Todas las voces están en español, y da tiempo a leer todos los diálogos. Llevo poco, pero me ha dejado muy buen sabor de boca.

I was feeling nostalgic and installed all SH games again for a replay, but man, is this bad. I know it's old, but the clunky mechanics and game breaking bugs have nothing to do with it being from last decade. Now I remember why I uninstalled, I guess

Багов столько, что играть больно. Про момент со стелсом вообще молчу, там натуральная пытка, особенно если не догадался сохраниться перед началом (пройти его невозможно без помощи интернета, потому что сломана даже триггер-зона, в которую нельзя попадать).

Jogo bom para os amantes de sherlock holmes. A história do jogo é cativante, apesar da jogabilidade não ser a melhor, mas devido ao ano do jogo entende-se o porquê da jogabilidade datada. Os puzzles são bons, e cativantes, obrigando-nos a estar atentos às pistas que nos são dadas. É um jogo divertido porém datado, mas que ainda consegue manter viva a alma do Retro gaming.

Insupportable gameplay où on fait 300 fois le tour des lieux et des personnes disponibles à l'écran sans jamais arriver à aller plus loin que la première scène. C'est souvent à cause d'un pixel à peine visible, comme celui sur le dossier de la chaise (et je joue sur grand écran). Trop lassant et énervant, j'ai désinstallé au bout de 3 heures. Dommage, l'histoire semblait intéressante.

Clunkiness aside, I think the game did well enough with the investigative aspects and I was about to give it a favourable score until I got to the end. The story is too spread out with too many suspects and too many moving parts to offer a satisfying experience of solving the mystery on the player's side. Even if you can point in the right direction you don't have enough information to fill in the blanks -- especially when some of the details are unintentionally misleading and the revelations absurd. Good detective gameplay. Godawful mystery.
