The detective cat is back with another case, this time in the Brazilian capital of Rio, but everything else remains the same from the first game. If you already played nonograms or picross puzzles before, you don’t need to learn anything new. However, if this is your first such game, the rules are simple. A puzzle takes place on a grid with numbers on the side and on top of the grid. These numbers tell you how many squares in that row or column have to be colored. While only one number signifies consecutive squares, two or more number mean there has to be at least one empty square between them. Although settings allow classic mode where you have no hints but also no penalty for mistakes, I recommend that you turn on autocomplete that fills out empty rows or columns. If you don’t want additional pressure, you can also turn off the timer that’s there for speedrunners. Compared to the first game, now you can cancel when you start coloring more squares at once. There’s also a ruler that highlights columns and rows after fifth square to make it easier to count how many you need to color. The game offers twelve locations, each with ten puzzles. This means there are 120 puzzles altogether. You can start with any location you want, but puzzle have to be played in order. The only challenge is that the grid grows slightly bigger with each puzzle. Difficulty might be a bit too hard for beginners because you’re thrown right into the challenging puzzles. For instance, some puzzles don’t have a clear starting point so you have to guess or use deduction. Fortunately, you can easily try to color the corners and quickly restart if you make a mistake. Once you color the sides of the grid, the rest should be easy. To beat a puzzle with the best score, which are three stars, you can’t make any mistakes or use hints. Hints come in two options: a magnifying glass that reveals a square of your choosing, or a lamp that reveals a random square. Hints slowly recharge with each colored square, so you don’t have any at the start of the puzzle. There are a few achievements for using hints and beating all puzzles with three stars. However, you won’t have to go through a lot of trouble because the achievement unlocks prematurely right after you complete one location. Since you play a cat detective, each of the puzzles is a clue. Once you uncover all clues in a location, you receive a bigger clue that reveals a card in the story case. There’s a pixel image or a short animation after each solved location, but you won’t see any big reveal at the end. It’s just something to give reason to all the puzzles, and they’re still the main reason for playing.

Great game! Sherlocat title nails the essentials: its intuitive tap-and-drag controls let you mark, cross-check missed squares, and let you cancel, which is great for checking the counts, keeping the puzzle flow snappy. The pixel art is charming, and I’m especially fond of how each completed grid unveils a postcard-perfect landmark from the stunning city of Rio—an extra jolt of motivation to finish every board. Even the storyline, often an afterthought in the genre, is surprisingly thoughtful and ties the sightseeing theme together. Quick, polished, and full of heart—exactly what a modern picross game should be.

It's certainly a comfy game!!! In the beginning, it's a little bit confusing, but you can figure it out after sometimes trying to solve the puzzles. I want to play more later.

Jogo muito bom, uma ótima forma de passar tempo para quem gosta de nonogram. Artes bonitas, musica boa e uma gatinha para alimentar, um combo perfeito para a diversão.

Se você é fã de jogos puzzles certamente vai adorar. O jogo possui fases que variam de fáceis a extremamente desafiadores e possui opção de modo de jogo clássico, para quem busca uma experiência similar a do nonogram de papel, e um modo "desafio", com cronômetro e vidas. Recomendadíssimo!

Jogo bem intuitivo e ótimo para exercitar o raciocínio lógico. A cada mapa o jogo vai se tornando mais difícil e interessante.
