Before talking about broken achievements and developers not giving a ♥♥♥♥ about the game, let's take a look at the whole description which is.. quite clarifying by itself! "2D plaformer with hardcore levels. Play as one of three heroes with different abilities. Complete levels by helping each other. Enjoy minimalistic graphics and fantastic music. Do you dare to complete all levels? 35 levels 678 achievements 7 fantastic music track" Intentionally passing over the rest of the information related to achievements, how they should appear or unlock and so on, let's get it straight - this indie game is definitely one of the most minimalistic things you'll ever play (or avoid, if you're reading my suggestion.. xD). The music tracks, among the rest, is really.. not that "fantastic". It consists of some random tracks taken from who knows what service that simply puts on the Internet free-from-copyright electronic music. And for "electronic music" I'm talking about a few MIDI tracks, extremely repetitive and annoying, starting on each level and luckily stopping if you put the game in tray. Being made in Unity, you can choose the resolution and play the game windowed.. but this isn't recommended, since the game is so poorly made that you'll often have it hard to see the spikes, your character and the rest of the platforms. This game is REALLY REALLY minimalistic - and with this I mean that the 35 levels are designed with a MS Paint random line-maker. The platforms are literally black rectangles/lines, and the spikes are black triangles. Everything is black, making it difficult and annoying to distinguish between platforms and spikes - only your character is some kind of red block with eyes, the rest of the game will be just jumping around black masses. WASD or directional keys are used to move, and your goal is to simply get to the other side of the screen, basically. The "difficulties" added on the levels are some simple things - spikes as I said, teleporters, blocks that make you jump, rotating spikes that are of course all black blending with the rest of the world.. The hitboxes, needless to say, suck. The controls, suck too. You'll be slipping over lots of platforms, finding yourself dying after touching a random spike or some kind of ball floating in the sky.. and there are no checkpoints at all. So - instant death, instant respawn at the beginning of the level. It is definitely not a surprise that the game, when opened, is called "Black_platformer" (sic.) - it's everything literally black and red, and stupid. And frustrating. This game should be an attempt to make a nice, quick indie minimalistic 2D platformer, and we have TONS of platformers out in 2019, but it fails at every point. Controls are sloppy and unresponsive, the challenges are very few and you can just move left or right and jump/jump on walls - no weapons, no other keys. The music sucks, it's an electronic loop. And the game does not have a single save point, not even a menu. Mashing Esc buttons or whatever key you want to try will lead you to nothing - and yes, you have heard it well: there is no automatic save point. The game features some kind of weird level system: if you close the game before beating a certain amount of levels, you'll simply have to restart from the first one. This goes on for a few groups of levels - 7, namely. In fact, the only thing you'll be able to interact with is some kind of weird colored door system: seven colored doors will appear at the beginning of the game, and that will be your only "menu": finish all the first levels (without even a clue on how much you have to complete, to say it all) and you'll unlock the next door. Close the game before, start over. This is all in all a total mess, a failed attempt to an extremely poor and standard 2D platformer. Even if it costs that little, it's to be avoided at all costs.

Trio is a Unity game that was probably made for the purpose of achievement spam. The visuals are minimalistic and consisted mostly of flat colors, and all the characters in the game were meh. The BGM was there, but nothing unique or memorable. Overall gameplay was so-so. I liked the concept of how each character had their specific way points to pass the level, adding more of a challenge to players. However, many issues lie in the camera angle and bugs. The stage menu felt so awkwardly positioned that the ceiling looks cut off. There’s also a delay when you hit “S” to enter a stage. The keys were iffy and sometimes bugged in that they didn’t work or character doesn’t act to what key you had pressed. There is no save point, and going off the platform resulted in an infinite falling screen. I do not recommend buying Trio, because of these flaws, and for being an overall bland platformer game.
