Every photo flash-card you take will be unique to you. The idea behind this is to strengthen the relationship between a word and how you see its physical appearance. In the real world, you can then see such objects and make connections to the Japanese words you've already learned while playing Shashingo.

Your photo album is where you keep your collection of photo flash-cards. If you remember them well in Find Mode, they'll be separated into the 'mastered' tab and shown with a gold star sticker. However, if you're struggling to remember a word in Find Mode, they'll be marked with a purple exclamation mark sticker, so you know which words you need to practice more.
At the back of your photo album, there are also numerous pages of Japanese lessons designed for beginners that will teach you how to speak Japanese and use the vocabulary that you learn in Shashingo. Also included are some key words and important phrases that can help you in your future conversations.

I enjoyed playing Shashingo. It wasn't overwhelming and didn't ask a lot of me to "learn" to play along. I finished it in under 3 hours. What works: + You can choose how you want to be quizzed- I always selected "favorites" and favorited items around me. Then I could take a quiz on the arcade, movie theater, grocery, etc. much like how a text would organize vocabulary. + Praise be, there is a run :) + a fun premise that holds true and is simple to learn + I did actually learn some things :) + humorous/charming, wholesome Improvements: - At this time, I can't think of anything that felt a hindrance to the fun. This was a cozy lil game that I would suggest if you would like a walking simulator where you're a tourist with a translating camera, basically. Pretty fun.

This is very good to help your brain memorize the stuff you learned with flash cards. Alone it's probably not very helpful, diversity is key to learn quick. The game itself states that too. It probably doubled the speed at which I memorized common nouns, and made me realize I overlooked stuff that is needed in everyday conversation for a trip. Also this game has absolutely no business being this polished. It has reflections, rain particles, ambient noises, cute npcs, high res textures, and a very nice menu. It almost looks like the devs initially had the ambition to make a full fletched game, not just a wandering simulator. Cyberpunk material here
Jogo legal e divertido de jogar, ajuda a se familiarizar com palavras do idioma, parte visual é simples e bonitinha, talvez minha única reclamação fosse que podia ter mais mapas com mais palavras , ou um mapa um pouco maior
Great for learning new words :3
Un jeu très agréable et immersif, pour être allée au Japon régulièrement, le jeu reprend très bien cette atmosphère ! Ce serait sympa une version un peu plus grande avec des termes plus poussés ! Il y a quelques petits bugs par moment où une bonne réponse est comptabilisée comme fausse mais bon, l'idée est là !
