Every photo flash-card you take will be unique to you. The idea behind this is to strengthen the relationship between a word and how you see its physical appearance. In the real world, you can then see such objects and make connections to the Japanese words you've already learned while playing Shashingo.

Your photo album is where you keep your collection of photo flash-cards. If you remember them well in Find Mode, they'll be separated into the 'mastered' tab and shown with a gold star sticker. However, if you're struggling to remember a word in Find Mode, they'll be marked with a purple exclamation mark sticker, so you know which words you need to practice more.
At the back of your photo album, there are also numerous pages of Japanese lessons designed for beginners that will teach you how to speak Japanese and use the vocabulary that you learn in Shashingo. Also included are some key words and important phrases that can help you in your future conversations.

Якби була українська, то як то кажуть "ціни б не було", ну і я б згодився за окремі платні длс, але збільшити локацію, наприклад, той ж самий храм.
A fun and simple game of learning Japanese through the power of photography and flash cards. You go around town learning vocabulary and phrases at a relaxed pace. It helps quite well with learning and the vibe this game has is very cosy, with the find and quiz mode acting as study sessions. My only gripe is how I feel like this game has less content than you would think it would have, but for educational purposes, its pretty solid to help with Japanese which is becoming more worth it to learn it over time.

對還只會五十音的入門新手來說是很適合的教材 單字卡背面還有其他生字可以學 但這遊戲頂多就是日文新手村 想再更精進日文最好還是接受正式的日語教育 或者去玩玩看Wagotabi
I'm a very big fan of this games graphics and the way you can learn new japanese words. It's a lot of fun and I really enjoy it <3
I've only put 4 hours into this game and I believe I, personally, can put a LOT more into it by memorizing phrases and words. If you're already studying with Anki or other methods for studying Japanese, you might enjoy this as a cute, low-stakes way to practice Japanese vocabulary and memorize words in a unique way. It provides good supplemental material and the added benefit of having the hiragana/katakana charts is a nice plus. The environment is super appealing to walk around in and I love the transitions from day to night, as well as the weather shifting from clear blue skies to cloudy rainfall. Would have loved to have more to work with, but it's still very charming and there's enough variety with the focused learning and quiz flash cards. I've spent roughly 30 min to an hour a day in this little digital sandbox, and I can say that not only has it been calming but I've mastered words and recognized some Kanji for phrases, which I did not think would be possible. The developers also included some introductory dialogue for basic conversations and additional phrases, which is nice, but compared to the core gameplay, it's less successful at pushing me to remember things versus the flash cards or other study methods. I'd love to see more from this developer or more of the game expanded to different areas of Japan. I think its a great little game.

This is very helpful for people learning to read, write, and speak Japanese. I would recommend this as someone trying to learn Japanese. The various options the game has will be helpful for most, letting you learn in ways that work for you. It provides a variety of materials to learn vocabulary about, and can be useful in everyday settings. One critique I do have is that there's not more of this game. I know that in most cases, this is not a real complaint, but in this case it is. I would love it if you could explore more settings in order to include even more words into the vocabulary. Overall, This is a great tool (I'm not sure if this counts as a game) for learning Japanese, but I want there to be more of it.
While the game is nice, and it makes learning words much more fun, the quiz part is very questionable. Why am I being quizzed on words that aren't what I took a picture of in Quiz Mode? Is there an option I'm missing? I'd like to learn to the words of the pictures first before learning more complicated things.
A simple and fun way to review words that'll be helpful on the streets of Japan!
