Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

Half-Genie Hero is a light recommendation. The platforming is great like all the Shantae games, but the re-exploration of previous levels doesn't work as well as I'd hoped, and the final area is a real slog. If you're a fan of the series, or platformers in general, it's probably worth a go on sale.

Fun game with a weird difficulty curve

Well this is a weird situation. I was a backer of this game, but logically you should not buy this version. The ultimate edition has everything and it's kinda messed up that wayforward still sells both versions... but according to other reviewers actually NO? apparently the newer version has all the dlcs but lower textures resolutions and less achievements? The hell?

a very fun wholesome adventure for kids and teens alike. If you're looking for some well-design platforming stages, boss battles and abilities with a moderated challenge then this game it's for you. The visuals, art style and mechanics of this game still holds flawlessly, making for a must have for those who enjoys platformers. Bottom line: 8/10 ★

I liked Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. It is however more linear compared to the other entries in the series when it comes to world exploration.

O jogo trás elementos clássicos de jogos de plataforma como poderes e transformações, te da um ambiente repleto de segredos a explora a cada fase, trazendo um fator de repetição agradável, o jogo não só apresenta desafios físicos, mas também lógicos dando a NPCs um papel relevante na aventura. Quanto aos personagens e história são bem carismáticos e chamativos, com tons cômicos e cores vibrantes, é um jogo para quem gosta de um bom game de plataforma.

Discover this game randomly. I do not regret buying it

this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks (I can't beat the second boss) ok so i was dumb and didn't buy healing, but even then there's things that make this negative for me, it's abysmally short, 5 hours not including me being awful at the game to 100% main mode, frame rate inconsistency, minor things like that that make it not worth the price plus dlc imo
