A great game from the PS3/XBOX360 era. Back when devs had balls

Really fun game and Underrated due to EA being EA and not giving this game enough attention and love 8/10

Demons are buttholes. I had a ton of fun the first time through, not so much the second and third. Not having difficulties stack is lame and a waste of my time. Too many unskippable moments, and the camera keeps taking control away from me to zoom around the level. Otherwise, I love jumping back in time to play these kinds of games. More video settings would have been nice. No crashes and I never bugged out. Catchy, like herpes. 10k on SH.

Análise – Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered resgata um cult clássico de 2011 com melhorias técnicas modestas, mantendo praticamente intacta a experiência original, para o bem e para o mal. Pontos positivos O maior acerto do jogo continua sendo sua identidade única. A mistura de horror, humor grotesco e estética “trash” cria uma experiência que poucos jogos tentam replicar. A jornada de Garcia Hotspur pelo inferno é propositalmente exagerada, com diálogos absurdos e situações que abraçam completamente o ridículo. A ambientação ainda funciona bem. Mesmo com limitações, o inferno apresentado é criativo, variando entre cenários perturbadores e surreais, reforçando a sensação de um “road trip” bizarro. O gameplay, apesar de simples, é funcional. O sistema de luz e escuridão adiciona uma camada interessante ao combate, obrigando o jogador a alternar estratégias durante os confrontos. Além disso, o desempenho técnico é sólido, com melhorias de resolução e fluidez (como 60 FPS estáveis), tornando essa a forma mais acessível de jogar hoje. Pontos negativos O principal problema é justamente o fato de ser um remaster extremamente conservador. As melhorias visuais são superficiais, texturas levemente melhores, mas com modelos, animações e geometria praticamente inalterados. O gameplay também denuncia a idade. O combate pode parecer travado e repetitivo, e o level design segue uma estrutura bastante linear e datada. Outro ponto crítico é o humor. O jogo aposta pesado em conteúdo sexual, piadas imaturas e exagero constantes, o que pode afastar muitos jogadores. Mesmo avaliações positivas destacam que ele é “divertido e ao mesmo tempo absurdamente vulgar”. A campanha é relativamente curta (cerca de 6–8 horas) e há pouca inovação além do New Game+. Veredito Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered é basicamente o mesmo jogo de 2011 com uma camada leve de polimento. Isso significa que ele continua sendo um título carismático, estranho e memorável, mas também limitado, datado e inconsistente. I remember playing this on my 360, back in the glory days. For me, it still rules. Pros: Story is still pretty entertaining and gameplay solid, and controls well (I played with m+k, can't change controls, but they are mapped pretty good). Cons: Too easy, too short, some texture pop-in, graphics are a bit dated, some levels are definitely better and more interesting than others. And we never got a sequel because the game didn't sell well. As for the whole remaster part, well, they could have done a better job...? There's no graphics options, graphics, while still ok, don't look too great, no quality of life fixes, some bugs from OG even stayed in the remaster, it's just a straight upscaled port of the original game. Kinda wish they did more with it? This game had one rocky development, so they could at least have added some unlockable concept art? QoL fixes? remappable controls? more graphic options? harder difficulty options? Something? Anything? All we got was new game plus (which is a bit broken btw) and some costumes. Get this if you haven't played it before or if you are returning fan, it's still great. But get it on a sale, because half the effort means only half the price.

Graphics are blurry in spots. The PC controls are F***ed up ... lazy port of an otherwise great game. The developers and publishers of this remake port should be beaten with a wet noodle. There's a good game here despite what I said... it's just going to take some TLC to get it working half-way correctly. So, if you have some patient and time, go for it!

It's a mindless romp through hell to save your girl. Not great, but good enough.
