This is a tug of war game and then some. With fast paced game play(sometimes overwhelmingly fast on harder dificulty), you can get matches played pretty fast making this a game you can drop in and play for short(game or two) or long perioids of time. Because the AI picks rather random unit combinations you always have a different experience. I did get to play some pre steam versions of this game and the progress has been nothing but great. It started with only one commander(leading unit that hires all the others), minimal upgrades for units(more on this later) and some interesting gameplay. At release this game has 3 commanders to start you out and a functional upgrade system. When you play the game and win, you get random upgrade items(clearly better for harder levels). These upgrades are used to make your units stronger in future games. You can combine them to make even higher level upgrades for future matches. The more you play, the better you get. The game has 5 unreleased commanders and multiple battlefields so we are sure to get more diverse games with future updates. At current I have a preference for Vania's targeted lighting attack. As with any pre-release game you are sure to run into some bugs(I have seen nothing game breaking). The team developing this game has been very fast to fix bugs(pre early access) and take sugestions for future updates.
Great Strategy Game, thanks to the developers and publishers! Regards! ^^
I am aware that it is in early access, but as of now, I can't recommend the game. I may not be the best person to review a game, but here it is. My personal feelings are as the following: Arts 0.4: I like the artwork of the characters, but currently, they are not translated to the game world as well as they could have. I do not get that mystic feel of fantasy I get from other fantasy games. The particle effects are too bland for my taste. Simplicity can be delivered extremely effectively when done right. With the word 'epic' used in the description, I certainly do not feel that. Gameplay 0.4: I played some tug of war back in the day in Starcraft II, and I have to say that this is not as fun. I feel like it is missing something. Maybe that is just me. Perhaps that is due to the fact that heroes are used in a non-heroic way. I mean, the heroes are purpose to be unique, but in this game they are used in the roles of standard units. I think you have to put a feedback when hiring the units to defend the bridge to be more visible. The coin collecting thing is pretty a bad idea, in my opinion. I do not think it adds anything of value. I swear there is some coin clipping down into the void. This just an idea, I do not know whether this is a good idea or not; you could try replacing the coin collecting with a city upgrade to gather faster gold since the town does not really to anything right? The town is just kind of there. Maybe you could also do some other upgrades with the town as well. Sounds 0.3 I do not really have a comment on this one. The sounds are non-impactful, and the music is not rememberable. I think there is a huge space in a room for improvement. As a modder myself, I understand that hard work isn't as simple as swtiching a button. I hope this game finds its core elements it needs.
(Note, most of my playtime is in offline mode) Been a backer since EA. And everything about the pace of updates and the devs willingness to listen to feedback and fix things makes me excited to see the rest of what comes, hopefully soon! Voices are excellent btw!
This game shouldn't have any price point for what it's giving you, it's nothing more than an incredibly straight foward tug of war and very basic defense game, I felt absolutally no excitement when playing the game and discovering the very few features the game had to offer. Pros: - ... Cons: - Bland artstyle - Average graphics quality that makes my I5 3570k and GTX 960 lag out of its face on high graphics settings once large groups of enemies cluster on occasion. - Extremely simplistic gameplay to the point where it should have been put on kongregate or left on a mobile device - Trial and error based gameplay, sending out 15 unupgraded troops didn't work? better restart and mindlessly stack damage/defense/hp regen, with the best bit being that you have to awkardly click on each unit one by one, to then click the + sign, then the item you want, and then the upgrade button, 1 down, 19 more units to go. - You have no control over your own troops, they just run forward in a preset path and hit the nearest thing, unless it's a defense map in which you literally just sit there and watch everything kill each other after you have placed your units and done what ever boring upgrades there is. - Maps that have "choke points" in which your entire army of units collecting up behind them can't get past your own troops, meanwhile your units are doing "chip" damage for barely 1 hp to the remaning 3 or so enemies left all while they can't kill you past your health regen leaving you stood there and failing that timed assault you're doing, the best part is that this starts to lag your system some more as they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ behind each other and begin dry humping everyone in front. This is a game I just can't see attracting any good number of people in, perhaps 10 years ago or something back when games like Battle Realms was still just barely relevant, but yet this game has that look that it belongs in the same era, but with gameplay that's much worse than something you would of seen in the early 2000s.
Played the first few missions and hit a gate. Apparently the remainder of the campaign is "still being made". I put that in quotation marks because as far as I can tell, it isn't being made at all. For the last 4 months, no updates, no news from devs, and they stopped responding to the forums. If it was ever finished, had potential but don't buy unless some progress is made on the game.
Little skeptical at first, but found the game fun. Makes you think on your toes.
Game looked interesting, it was kinda fun the first few levels that the devs have unlocked. unfortunately you hit a wall when you finish chapter 1, supposedly the devs were working on the next chapters, but it's been a year for me already, wasn't able to find anything online so, don't support this scam.

This game has 3 playable missons. This game is nowhere near complete. That's really all you need to know.
