Seeking The Guardian

Very cheap but interesting game, most puzzle uses different mechanics or at least have some unique twist so it's never repetitive. Very good.

The sound puzzle is horrible. A lot of the puzzles before this were really good but the sound puzzle is somehow bad enough to nullify all of it.

Cute short puzzle game. Each room has a different type of solution so there are a lot of ideas crammed into this small game. There are even some "meta-puzzles" where you think beyond just the current puzzle in your solution. Sorry if cryptic but I don't want to spoil anything.

A unique puzzle game with some creative thinking needed. Each room poses a riddle. There are some stuff inside, there are some doors with pictures, figure out what to do. Sometimes you see blocks in the room, so it's probably pushing blocks. Sometimes you see ice, so you're going to slide on ice. Sometimes the floor changes colors under you, so you have to figure out how the floor behaves. But these are just what's the stuff inside. The game might not tell you how the blocks should be positioned, you have to figure it out from the picture on the door. The puzzles vary a lot, but they are all of good quality. Some of them require completely out-of-the-box thinking. For example, in the very first room you see, it seems the game wants you to push 8 buttons using only 3 blocks? Turns out that, as you explore the rooms, you'll find a way to be able to do that, if you're willing to think outside the box. The game comes with hints. If you're stuck, you can look at a variety of hints. Some puzzles cannot yet be solved, the hint will tell you that. You might also ask for what you're supposed to do, and how you should do that. There's plenty of help, so if you're really stuck on one puzzle and want to skip it, you can do so. The graphics aren't anything fancy, but they are functional. There's a lore in the game, which is quite interesting. Perhaps the only ding against the game is the content. I finished the main game in around 1.5 hours, so the price tag might appear pretty steep for that. However, I think the game is still well worth it anyway. It's smart, it has a lot of aha moments. The best qualities from a puzzle game, without filler at all. [hr] EDIT: I've completed the DLC since then. I had to liberally use hints for the final puzzle of the DLC, but that was an insane construction. It's incredibly elegant. If you liked the base game, you will absolutely want the DLC. Just note that the DLC is locked behind you fully clearing the base game first.
