This game makes ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON look like a masterpiece. Straight up trash this game is. Had my plane bouncing like a basketball on the ground before it finally blew up. Quite a fitting name for a studio I might add too.
一款模拟空战游戏 这游戏最大的问题就是:会让你头晕,没有一个水平指示器,稍微转几圈你就绝对翻不过来了
Air fartians. Controls are mess, you end up spinning and rolling aimlessly trying to hit some enemies and you'll not hit them. Homing rockets can't hit a thing. Mission introduction feels like a chore. Voices will make your eardrums tremble. Generic maps with nothing original. Hint - remove from library before losing time on junk.
Мобильная игра с кривой реализацией управления на ПК.
horrible game, horrible controls. Horrible.
Developer's name is accurate.
Dollarstore flight controls with some end of world war story to try and provide missions meaning. The only gun that felt useful in the early going was the proximity missle.
I'm not really sure if Air Guardians is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. It's an older game from 2015. It's a venerable 9 years old at the time of this review, and it feels dated. It's a futuristic flight combat "sim" (although it's a bit more arcadey than simulationist). You fly a futuristic jet/spaceship/whatever and blast enemies, what fun, I guess. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. It really does feel like someone took a demo/off the rack flight engine/pack for Unity and fleshed it out a bit. However, I think it is worth noting that this does appear to be a sincere attempt to make a game, whether stock assets were used and not credited or not. Unfortunately that doesn't mean it's good... good intentions alone are not enough to create a fantastic gaming experience. There's a lot of flaws here in what's a rather mediocre game... it's cheap, and quite often on Steam, you get what you pay for. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 12 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Air Guardians is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
