Hmm it could be good.... but its not. I was hoping for something more like "Unreal World" but without the keyboard stuff. this is not that. * The digging to create material to create new land is tedious particularly as mining doesnt seem to provide much to help there. * Fitting stuff in without creating new land is impossible as you need a lot of buildings to be able to build a ship I think my major issue with it is the lack of space and that seems to be an integral part of the gameplay.... that hadnt been clear in the research I did on the game.... so its probably not for me.
I want to like it, I really really do. As an idea, I like it- you can pick your characters with specific qualities in mind to have the best chance to survive. You have to prioritize food and shelter, and each character has unique qualities that will affect your gameplay. I like the soundtrack as well. It's incredibly frustrating though- it's unbalanced and everything is highly dependent on your seed. There's very little information available for help, which is bad because there aren't really tutorials for more complicated aspects or a walk-through on anything. The Reddit and Discord haven't been updated in ages, so I'm not hopeful for any progress. It's fun for the first few missions, if you can struggle through the guessing how to do most things. The missions act as a 'tutorial' but only teach you the simplest things- and not how to do them. It just says "Cut down x" or "Build x". Farming, for example, has been frustrating without direction because it'll jump from "young spelt plant- no point in harvesting" to "dead spelt plant". Despite checking it every day, it's never harvest-able. Even some of the videos I've looked up have had no clue. I think it could be good if they balanced the resources and provided a more in-depth explanation of stats/skills/actions. At it's current state, however, I wouldn't suggest spending money on it. For free? Sure. Paid? Not yet.
Good survival game that is more about optimizing your crew to do what they are best at. The build tree is quite messy as it is not intuitive what comes next, unless you are an actual survivor of one of these islands. It is quite hard to refer to which characters should sleep with who and their stats unless you check on them one by one.
The game feels like it's still in beta. It does a bad job at telling you what stuff is, what you need to build things and how those things work. You end up wasting a lot of time trying and failing. When you finally feel like you get it the level is over and you move on to new unknowns.
I want the problems of life to be blown away as easily as at home by the wind, in this game
Merci
I am disappointed that this is the first game I bought for 2025. It has complex mechanics and high-level difficulty. The game is punishing, stressful, and overwhelming! I first saw this game on the Switch, and it piqued my interest because I love management, survival, and crafting games. I figured I'd get it on PC instead since colony sims often have lots of texts and buttons to press. I just got frustrated with this one. I expected it to be more chill but even in sandbox mode, everything felt unbalanced.
Survivalist Game kind survive against elements and survive no food, no heat scenarios. You can try to modify your level start or make extremely hard or not. I found it interesting to play. I played this on Itch.io. Like: Graphics/animations/ scenarios Dislike: If there was map editor in game to play new map it make game more interesting to play. Other: no predatory animals den, or rats spawn from boat which make crucial to recycle it. Gulls which make sense. Deer? Goats? Traveling by boat to find food? Personal Opinion: You can make boat but only purpose is abandon/relocate from the island. If there was Island to stay for long haul and use boat travel for better food and return, only evacuate because tsunami or volcano eruption makes sense to me.
