SEBI 16

Neat little collection of 16 games, each charming in its own right. Although I've just barely delved into each of the 16 games, it's clear to see that, despite the limitations of the Pico-8, Sebi 16 succeeds in providing a fun little experience in each of its 16 games with enough variety to keep you interested. Well worth the cheap price! Also should note, from what I can tell it seems to run well on the Steam Deck.

If you like UFO 50, you'll love this. This is really clean! I've only played 4 of the games so far (Breakolf, Cards With Personalities, Dice Mice, and Dropblop), but they're all really fun so far and I can tell I will love the rest. The only gripe I have, and I'm not sure if this is a PICO-8 thing or if it's something the developer can change, but sometimes it can be really hard to read text. In particular, M's and W's could be more readable with just a single pixel removed. This made trying to read the documentation for CWP a literal headache and so I just very slowly figured that one out instead of trying to go from the text. So far, my favorite is Dice Mice! Or maybe Dropblop, I'm not sure. I might check out the full game for Cards With Personalities. I think I'll update this once I play all of them.

The person that made this collection understands fundamentally what makes video games fun, big fan, so refreshing, absolutely adore this

Its like Ufo 50 but its less games and they are a bit more retro - so far I am decently entertained even though some of the games are a bit on the short side. Its not much cash and if you think this looks interesting give it a shot

While this title can be compared to UFO 50, the sixteen games it features are quite small, not to mention that there is no narrative device connecting these, nor a hidden, 17th game to be found, as opposed to UFO 50's framing device and the metagame (which is basically the 51st game). SEBI 16 is thus a standard collection of games. It features sixteen highly varied titles, most of which range from decent to excellent. It's definitely a worthwhile experience and I've had a lot of fun during the ten or so hours I've spent beating the sixteen games (or most of them, at least, since some can't be beaten, e.g. "Dropblop", where the goal is to reach the highest possible score). The standouts are: - I Demand Coffee (a short, but sweet 2D platformer with a focus on floating and wall-climbing) - Berry Brother (a small metroidvania which centers around switching perspectives, this mechanic being reminiscent of MathanGames' phenomenal, but highly underrated "Side Scape") - Cards with Personalities (a highly addicting card game that can be seen as a taste sampler for the main version, which is sold separately on Steam) - Cheese Knight (perhaps best described as a Kuru Kuru Kururin-like) - Dice Mice (essentially dice rolling combined with light RPG mechanics; it's fascinating how well this combo works) - Breakolf (Golf meets Breakout) - Fervour (a solid action title in which you have to defeat all the enemies in a stage to progress; gives off Hotline Miami vibes due to its violence, visuals and music) - Doctor Lind (a puzzle metroidvania revolving around stacking blocks you can use as platforms) That's 8 out of 16 titles, which says more than enough about the overall quality of this package. I hope that the developer will release another collection in the future.

I just saved the whale and ate all 12 oranges! Great little collection, very creative games each unique in gameplay and ideas. I love UFO 50, have over 300 hours on it. This collection is obviously inspired from it and the quality of the games is of similar quality to UFO50's games. Difficulty is also similar in the sense of "you figure it out yourself" and "tough but fair". Only criticism would be that it would be nice if there was also some sense of a similar progression like getting the carts golden or cherried, that was a big part of UFO 50's charm and was discussed amongst the community a lot (getting the cherry here and there and all cherries etc). Also an overarching sort of story connecting them together would be the "cherry on top", pun intended. Of course this might exist and I haven't seen it yet and I apologize if that's the case. But that's just nitpicking. The developer put a lot of love into each game here. If you liked UFO 50 then this collection is for you.

A collection of games that in the presentation of its main menu very much feels UFO50 inspired. The games offer interesting and often unique twists on known genres or mechanics. Some of those designs work better than others but all are fun to explore. Lots of polish and little details all over. And maybe a secret to discover?

I actually need more of these for my Steam Deck! It is so refreshing to play something that's short (but many), performant and something that had passion in its design. Anyway, if you love to explore fun and clever game mechanics I'd definitely give this a go! My favorite so far is definitely Berry Brother

Great pack of PICO-8 games! There are a lot of platformers in this collection, including some very charming session-sized metroidvanias. A real testament to the amount of game design that can be crammed into a small package. Smooth sailing on Steam Deck, although at time of writing, there are not yet cloud saves... you pretty much don't need them.

very fun game collection, i've been having a blast with such a big collection where every game is amazing, some even having suprising long amounts of content, would certainly recommend
