A nice short horror game.

Rating: Dito: 4.7/5 Chat: 4.41/5 Gesamt: 4.56/5
Nice
A thoroughly spooky game, one that's right in line with the rest of Torture Star Video's publications. You play as Claire, who gets lost in the woods while on a search party for her missing brother David. She wanders into a mysterious old mansion in the middle of the woods, and soon discovers that she's trapped with a sickle wielding madman who seemingly can't be killed. The narrative isn't quite as strong as other Torture Star games, but it's still effective and quite dark. The atmosphere is extremely well done, with plenty of gruesome images and really dark plot turns. Suffice it to say that there's more going on than just a maniac with a love of sharp objects. The gameplay is pretty classic survival horror stuff, although quite simplified from many titles of yore. You can only have melee weapons, so there's no need to balance ammo or anything. Your inventory is quite limited at first, although you can purchase more slots using coins found hidden in the environments. It's all pretty standard stuff, and the environment here is quite small compared to other survival horror titles, but it works for the length the game has. It's not an overly difficult game to 100%, and there is an unlockable shop that gives you access to fun costumes and some powerful unbreakable weapons. It's pretty accessible as far as this genre goes, and is well presented.
daniel died for our sins
NOTA: 8,5/10,0
Always love Lum games. I really enjoyed this game where you can't just kill the bad guy
It is a good short indie horror game.
(First note: If y'all like this one, please please PLEASE check out Yomawari: Night Alone and its sequels Midnight Shadows and Lost in the Dark.) Fun lil game, but VERY short - I mean, like, first ending and then the rest + 100% achieves in one sitting, short. (I hit the Prologue afterwards, and turns out it's the demo for the full game that I guess came out before full release, instead of an actual prologue chapter.) This game's definitely more spooky rather than scary, with a fun, gritty atmosphere, some interesting evasion/"combat" mechanics with regards to the killer (he does kinda-sorta patrol in a route, but it's kinda hard to follow and he really does just pop up out of nowhere here & there), and there's.... a bit of a story, but at its strongest it's just a background template to drop the player into the gameplay. There's abandoned/possibly haunted house exploration! There's key hunts! There's weird, somewhat psychadelic visuals! There's ooks AND spooks! I had a blast with this game even with its shortcomings, and it's absolutely worth the $5 tag, even more if you pick it up on sale (or get it in the full Torture Star bundle like I did).
