A little bit too grindy/fetch quest at times but 10/10 atmosphere and the payoff for getting the true ending was very vindicating and also horrifying
Can't run & can't hide, face death or face execution. Fuel the war machine with blood & be rewarded with it's beastly roars. Be a horrified part of the new world, gas, machine guns, mines, flames, & all. You may survive, we may survive, to come home, for this to all be over! But it was already over.
Honestly, I was hoping this game would show us what real war looks like in the movies (1917, Dunkirk, All Quiet on the Western Front), and I was expecting to play a character who constantly suffers from shell shock. But the core gameplay is just mediocre. It feels like a mix of Battlefield 1 and old-school Resident Evil games. The atmosphere is great, but because of its slow pace, you feel like quitting every 30 minutes.
A great survival horror game. The music, visuals, and sound effects add a lot to the tension and immersion. There's a lot of classic Resident Evil in the DNA of this game, but it manages to deliver something unique despite that This is a fictional war story based on a WW1 historical battle, so you can expect a lot of tragedies and horrors within it. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that the game can feel emotionally heavy with moments that cut deep or give you pause Definitely a game worth playing
What a great game! Completely surprised at how good it is. I bought it on a whim during a sale for like 8 bucks or something, and I definitely got my money's worth. It plays like a top down Resident Evil without the tank controls. You have to manage your inventory, with somewhat scarce ammo, and unlock doors and light puzzles. The setting is the front lines of WWI (a horrific setting that needs more attention in the game world) and you play as a French soldier searching for his brother, who is also enlisted. Definitely worth a play.
''Binlerce insan böyle ölüyor. Ne fark eder ki? Hangi kral için savaştığın... Hepimiz aynı çukura düşüyoruz.''
There are very few games that allow you to experience the abject horror of fighting at the front lines during WW1. Well done Jordan.
