На удивление играбельно и вроде всё нормально работает. Нужно только патч поставить на фулл хд. Покупать только из-за ностальгии.

Всё ещё лучшая игра про пиратов.

the reason i have to give a bad review is because i expriecense a glitch thaat makes the dialuge of the caracters be at the bottom of the screen making only the first letters of the dialuge wisebel. sorry for my bad english but if some one can help me whith this glitch i might give the game a better try

Ocena raczej z sentymentu, gdyż owa produkcja się nieco już zestarzała. Na początku XXI wieku ta gra w praktycznie jako jedyna miała możliwość, w której można sobie piracić po morzach w pełnym 3D. Sterowanie jest nawet jak na początek XXI wieku było dość toporne. Przygodę zaczynamy jako kapitan Nicolas, dostajemy medalion po ojcu i na początek małą krypę. W grze mamy cztery nacje – Anglia, Francja, Hiszpania oraz piraci – i każda ma własną kampanię fabularną. Od nas jednak zależy, z kim będziemy chcieli trzymać. Z obowiązków kapitańskich musimy wypłacać cotygodniowy trybut załodze. Metodą podaży i popytu można zarabiać poprzez handel lub, a czemu by nie, napadając inne statki jako pirat bądź korsarz w służbie konkretnego króla. Zdobywając doświadczenie rośnie nasza sława. Od której poziomu będzie zależało, jakimi statkami możemy pływać. Do klasy 6 należą podstawowe statki o małym uzbrojeniu lub łupinki bez uzbrojenia, z kolei klasa 1 to największe i najlepsze okręty wojenne. Sama kampania jest dość prosta, niezależnie od wybranej nacji – łupić wrogie jednostki, zdobywać miasta, niszczyć forty jako zadania główne. Na mapie świata są też puste wyspy, bez portu czy też prostego miasta, które fabularnie są kluczowe dla kampanii którejś nacji, dlatego warto przejść grę dla wszystkich możliwych stron. Odpowiednio zagadując niektórych NPC, można dołączyć ich do załogi. Jedni będą jako wsparcie umiejętności – bosman, pierwszy oficer, itp. Inni uraczą nas dodatkowym statkiem podczas podróży. Jeśli chodzi o grę na współczesnym sprzęcie – da się grać, ale ustawienia uruchamiania na zgodność z XP. I po jakimkolwiek wejściu w zakładkę Steam lub wyjściu do Windowsa bez wyłączania gry powoduje graficzne błędy menu, ekranu dziennika i mapy.

The play screen doesn't line up with the monitor. I tried every resolution but it is cut off on the bottom, which means that I can't read anything. Perhaps this is based on playing it on a laptop, but the game is unusable. I tried every (visible) option on the "Options" menu. Based on other reviews, I guess the game used to be good. This port is not.

I played this game upon its release. I loved it very much. But I hated the bugs. It is surprising to see that most of them are still here in 2026 lol I found it interesting that there are four quest lines. Back in 2000, I found only three (by the nations). I chose France. Getting married with a pretty lady, governor's daughter, was tempting. Then, now, I finished as an English nobleman. Finally, I read about the pirate quest line. I recalled I tried to finish it back then but bugged fight with the pirate leader on Manowar was a disaster, and I gave up. Funny how easy the fight is now. In any case, the game is great, including English voiceover. But be wary of bugs. When finish the game with one nation, uninstall, delete the folder, even restart, and then reinstall and start over, otherwise the map will be altered based on your last walkthrough. Then, during the pirate line, check tavern master on Grey Sails for the first letter to attack Isla Balena, and then one-legged dude to get the second one to attack Grande Avilla. Save game (manually) before taking and after taking the quests. It will save you a lot of time. Good luck.
