SCP-087 VR Survivor

When I first got this game, I was excited to follow it through like many other titles I get early access for, or even earlier. Sadly, that excitement was very short lived. I came into this game with very minor expectations with very little content, which is what I received. I was more than okay with that though, because I knew how early it was in development, and that it was going to continue to get updates. The game slowly got less and less support, until none at all. The discord became quieter and quieter from the creator, until completely silent by him and everyone else. This was the type of vr game I really wanted, and was looking forward to watching it grow, but instead, I was forced to watch it die. Do not buy it and do not support it. This game hasn't had support for more than a year. The last message from the creator was on 8/11/2019. I wish the supporters weren't fed false hope, and I hope that maybe one day this game will get support again. Until then, don't even bother.

So far, So good. I'm in love with the concept of an VR SCP game, and this game is exactly what I was hoping for. Sure, it doesn't really have a lot to offer for now, but I have high hopes for the future, and even the current version as well as the staircase is pretty enjoyable. The damn atmosphere paired with, well, SCP 087, is just absolutely terrifying. Money well spent, I'd say. As I am in close contact with the dev (a really cool guy), I'm really looking forward to the updates that will come soon. Until then, I'll go and have another heart attack in the stairwell mode.

Being a huge fan of the SCP foundation I was thrilled to see a VR game about the one SCP that truly terrifies me and makes me scared of stairs. For being a early access game and being quite short, I’d say it was definitely worth the $15. There is definitely room for improvement and I can see this game being a hit in the SCP community in the future. My only complaint is how you pick things up, using the grip buttons is a little uncomfortable, especially for the items that you have to hold down the button to keep it on your hand. All in all, this is a great game and i 100% recommended it to anyone looking for a good scare

i was looking forward to this game for quite some time. i find it sad that i have to give it a critical review for the time being. i had only played the game for a few moments before i realized that the movement and navagation system is broken. in order to look around the environment you must completely move your body, which for a VR game can be expected, however when you do so, the movement controls do not reorient themselves to the player's new perspective, rather staying static. this (bug?) makes locomotion very confusing and disorienting to the player. interacting with the enviornment is also rather difficult due to the lack of hand avatars. it is nearly impossible to see where my hands are positioned in order to grab key objects and interact with the enviornment. i have refunded the game for now, but i truly want this game to succeed as i am a huge fan of the SCP series and i believe that the concept of exploring SCP 087 in realtime VR is going to make a tremendous experience. this game is in a stage of critical early alpha at best. I truly look forward to seeing where the developer takes this product, as the idea is brilliant, it just needs a bit more work.

Awesome idea; I love it! VR Surviving is interesting and intriguing. Can’t wait when the game will be finished. Bought it to support Alex. Keep it up :)

For anyone who was searching for VR related SCP games, do not pick this one up. I had purchased it a few years ago when it first released, and since then it's been abandoned by the developer. It's essentially a tech demo with many bugs, less than a hours worth of game play. Avoid k thx

Do not buy. I say this with utmost respect. i like the idea of the game and had it on my wishlist for a long time now but noticed it wasnt getting any attention. A friend of mine bought me the game as a gift and i tested it with him and we noticed the game lacked any sort of content. just the tutorial which doesnt bring any gameplay as of my knowledge Then i noticed it had plenty of bugs such as being unable to craft or getting stuck on items with a weird camera bug. I would love to see this game get actual attention but as of yet its a waste of money unless you like a not working torch simulator And yes i did ask for a refund so my friend got his money back
