really enjoyable CV1 clone! great music and love the artstyle, nice and vibrant screw the level 6 boss though. not too hard either BUY IT
Excellent Classicvania This is an exceptional game. It truly captures that NES Castlevania look and feel, but without the almost sadistic difficulty. Although it's far from easy, especially on the later stages, it is an incredible game with alot of work put into it at a very low price. But it's WAY BETTER than any of the other retro games in it's price range, which may as well be high priced shovelware. Definitely a recommended Indie title.
This is a really nice homage to the original Castlevania, and I particularly liked the Game Boy-style levels. On the other hand, it's just one more reminder that I'm old now and my reflexes are trash.
Tremendo juegazo que homenajea los juegos de 8 bits como castlevania, muy divertido y con reto ademas de contar con una gran cantidad de contenido extra. altamente recomendable en especial si te gustan juegos los plataformeros del nes.
Fun 2d platformer, its not very long (I died a quite a few times on certain levels) but that means it doesn't overstay its welcome. Even at full price its worth playing through.
bom pra jogar por umas horinhas, o preço cheio até que vale
This game is frustratingly bad. The level design is really cheap and the enemies are either not a challenge whatsoever or deliberately placed everywhere to overwhelm you. There's a 30 percent chance any button input is flat out ignored, and the bosses are designed such that you physically can't evade every attack. The hitboxes on enemies and your weapon are also really poorly communicated, making your whip feel utterly useless. You can have a weapon with a slow windup, but you can't also give that weapon inconsistent hitboxes during the animations that make it clip through enemy sprites without actually hurting them. It just feels so cheap and makes me wish I hadn't given them my money
Really mixed. I mean just playing 10 minutes of this and ready to put it down. Parts of the game perfectly capture that old school feeling of sluggish and slow control input and gameplay but then you hit your first set of lifts and the screen speed goes super turbo while your still moving like a broke legged 2 bit gimp on their way to insta death.
Slippery controls, repetitive & spammy level design and generally just not much fun. It does capture what a C-tier NES platformer actually plays like so kudos to that I guess. Weird choice to just put Sonic 1's final boss randomly in the game too.
