Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw

It's a traditional point & click game, which has a lot of things to like. Dialogues and voice acting are certainly one of the strongest things in it. Story is very good too. Puzzles are nice, interface is really good and music is also decent enough. If I have to find something less positive to say, then maybe the graphics would've needed a little more brushing up to meet the quality standards that rest of the game set. And the achievements could've been just a little more imaginative. Now they're all just taking pictures of persons or animals in the game. But those two things are really minor annoyances. If you love point & clicks, you of course need to check this game out.

i loved this game it was light hearted, it was funny. I love the dialogue in the game and the puzzles were challenging enough hope for a sequel

I'm enjoying the game! If you've ever played the old point and click games of the past, you will enjoy this. In fact, the game references the old Sierra games (specifically Police Quest), and has similar tongue-in-cheek humour. The dialogue is a bit long, though and the only thing I would change about the game.

I grew up in the era of floppy disks, and remember using them to install various LucasArts and Sierra games. This game's creator seems to have done so as well. Gets a bit "bash the fourth wall down" at times, but I find that to be a bonus? Overall I had fun, even though I did need some help figuring out certain puzzles. Apparently there's a sequel planned as well.

Entertaining, no violence, more of this please

WAY WAYYYY too much dialogue. Everyone you meet has a long soliloquy they're just dying to perform for you. Lots of dialogue in a game is not always a bad thing IF the dialogue is relevant to the game or tasks you'll be doing. But most of the talking is just nonsense and has very little to do with the game. An excessive amount of movie and TV references. One of the monologues by a secondary character is about how Dwight from the (US) Office was a great guy. Totally meaningless if you aren't a fan of that awful show. (The UK Office blows it away). Lots of Star Wars & Indiana Jones references for no particular reason. This developer must be a real fan of old games because we are also treated to references to Grim Fandango & Leisure Suit Larry. Not a bad thing, but it goes way overboard when we are forced to listen to another character play the original Police Quest for about 5 full minutes (no exaggeration). He dies several times, but Scott Whiskers continues to stand there listening to him play. I skipped through most of it and it still took up almost 3 minutes. Totally useless. Game starts out contained to a handful of locations. By chapter 2, there are several locations added all at once. One of the main problems is that the story was boring and had very little urgency. We are searching for a rich lady's cat and get sent on a bunch of quests by random people. Most of the characters seemed like caricatures of movie characters. One guy even dresses like Sherlock Holmes. It felt at times like the developers were trying to stretch out the game however they could. This is an indie studio so some things can be forgiven. But the excessive dialogue, boring story, and charisma-less characters made this a chore to finish.

A fun time-water. Puzzles are fairly simple, which is a refreshing change. English translation was often inaccurate and, therefore distracting (but that's and issue find with most translated games). A nice, innocent game, with some room for improvement. Overall, recommended.
