Items kombinieren
Menschen helfen

Graphic adventure game, point and click, puzzle, hand-drawn backgrounds, comical. PLOT Scott Whiskers is a young man with a passion for animals, which is why he serves as a volunteer at the "Animal Shelter". One day after finishing cleaning at the shelter he notices a flyer reporting the disappearance of Fumbleclaw, a beautiful white cat, known as a prize winner at feline competitions. Intrigued, he goes to Lady Longbottom to find out more about the disappearance of her cat and offer his help in finding it, Here's a good opportunity for Scott to use his detective skills, what mystery lies behind this disappearance? But it won't be easy to find him, following the clues Scott will find himself solving various problems and meeting many characters, some nice, some bizarre. Will he be able to find Fumbleclaw the cat? PLAYABILITY The graphics are beautiful with hand-drawn backgrounds, you can also choose the "Game Pixel" option which in my opinion is more attractive because it offers a variety of shades that are pleasant to see. There are no classic puzzles, we have to collect objects, sometimes assemble them and use them in the right way, there is a diary section to consult with which tasks need to be completed. IN the top right there is a Hotspot lens which will display all the active areas where you can click. To continue the plot, the game is based a lot on dialogues, you need to select them all and not skip them to avoid getting stuck. The soundtrack is well crafted and varied, each location has its own music. It is possible to save the progress whenever we want with different saves, and when you decide to exit it saves automatically. ATTENTION!!! achievements are not unlocked through the story, you have to take the Polaroid camera in the inventory and use it on everyone the characters you meet, even on animals, take a nice photo and you will complete your goals. I recommend this adventure, the protagonist is nice and sometimes doesn't use conventional methods to achieve his goal, but in the game he always shows himself to be altruistic and ready to help others. Beautiful plot is a happy ending story especially for those who love animals and want the best for them, our friend Scott will surely guide us in the right choice. Although it says my game time is 27+ hours, that's only because I left the PC on with the game open for a day or so. I'm about 2 hours in so far and finding this very hard work. The dialogue is far too much - to the extent where I'm not even reading it anymore, just mindlessly clicking through conversations so that I can continue the game. It's excessive for the sake of being excessive. I'm not averse to reading text - I grew up in the age of the text adventure, but this is just over the top and prevents the game from flowing well. Why use 3,000 words to make a point, when 100 will do? The script isn't great - a lot of the time it feels very unnatural. Almost like it's been run through Google Translate. The acting is worse than the scripting - it's cringe-worthy in many place. It doesn't help that the English actors are clearly reading the script verbatim (including errors), and they seem to lack any particular acting skills. There are some strange inconsistencies. One example - the game is clearly set in England, yet there are references to money as 'bucks' and images of dollar signs on the map and at the mansion, and then Alfredo and Bob asking for Euros. The game has potential, for sure, the story is nice enough and there seem to be plenty of locations and some decent puzzles so far. I will *try* and continue with the game, and maybe I'll find myself updating my review later, but at this moment in time I can't recommend it. ------------- UPDATE #1 2 days after my initial review, I'm still trying to get through this game, but it's becoming more and more painful. The whole Police Quest 1 dialogue was especially torturous. It's also bothering me that the screen just goes black during certain key sections when there probably should be an animation. Instead you get a black screen with (more) dialogue, describing what's happening. I'm going to finish the game with the walkthrough as I just don't have time to sit through all of this. I really cannot recommend this game. I apologise to the developers, as it's clearly a project with a lot of love in it - but as a game, it just feels like a chore to play. ---------------- UPDATE #2 Having finally finished the game (using a walkthrough and skipping all dialogue), my feelings haven't really changed. The story is nice and has a sweet sentiment to it which I liked. The graphics are pleasant - nothing to complain about and the music is decent enough. However, the endless reams of dialogue made me really dislike the game which is a shame, because I love PnC games and really wanted to enjoy this one. The script and English voice acting was also really quite bad. I'm sure there will be many people who bought this game and who will disagree with my thoughts. There are probably many people who have yet to buy it and who will love it. It just wasn't for me , sadly.
I really couldn't fully enjoy the game because the dialogue was way too long. So I had to give it a thumbs down.
This game is cute, relaxing and the puzzles are rather harmless and non-violent compared to other point-and-click-adventures. It is more about helping each other than tricking each other, which I liked very much. Also you are able to take a picture of every character you meet. Scott Whiskers as a protagonist is an empathetic and friendly person who lacks every sense of common knowledge and only knows pop culture references. The dialogues are extremely long, I had plenty of time for knitting a blanket for my cats while listening to Scott and the NPCs chatting. There are also lots of fourth wall jokes. Very nice game.
It's alright, but has a lot of room for improvement.
I've just finished playing "Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw," and guys, it’s a total gem! The game stars Scott Whiskers, a cool dude who volunteers at a pet shelter. One day, he finds out that Mr. Fumbleclaw, has gone missing, and thus begins our adventure. The whole setup is a perfect blend of humor and heart with a dash of Star Trek humor for the geeks among us (you know who you are). Navigating through the game feels like you're part of a classic point-and-click adventure, but it’s all fresh and modern. The puzzles are just right—challenging enough to keep you engaged but not so tough that you feel stuck. Plus, the whole game is super family-friendly, so it’s great for a chill gaming session. I really got a kick out of the witty dialogues and the vibrant, cartoonish graphics that make every scene pop. It's not just a game; it's a feel-good journey that keeps you smiling. If you love cats, puzzles, and a good laugh, then "Scott Whiskers in: the Search for Mr. Fumbleclaw" should definitely be on your radar!
Great adventure game, good well thought out puzzles that dont require moon logic, loved the humour in the game, highly recommend if you're looking for a humourous point and click game
Wow, i was really struggling if i should give thumbs up or down...the the story is simple, but cute (and i found it a bit boring to be honest). Most of the puzzles are OK. The dubbing is OK as well...lots of references to other games, monkey island, star trek etc, i think it was the case where less would have been more. I had two major problems that prevented me from fully enjoying the game: 1) endless dialogues. Like literally endless. Yes, you can click them through the accelerate, but they are still terribly long and don't add that much to the story to make them worth listening to. Especially considering how many of them are repetitive. 2) the graphics. The graphics style is OKish, but what annoyed me is the cheap solution for every slightly more complicated animation - the screen goes black and we just see the subtitles and hear the dialogue/sounds. This trick was used very well in many of the games in the 90s, but it was used smartly. Here it is trying to hide the limitation of the game engine - the game feels that it was done with minimal coding and with just some tool that allows you to click together some basic game with basic animations. It felt REALLY cheap. I finished the game more like because i already invested a few hours into it rather then because i enjoyed it. Overall - I still recommend the game, because the main character is likeable and the story of rescuing a cat is worth the efforts, but the game could easily be so much better...
