Pretty short and sweet arcade game a la Burgertime that doesn't overstay it's welcome!
This was developed by the same dev that made both the fan game and fan remake of the two awesome Rayman Redesigner and Rayman Redemption! I bought this to support the developer. I do like the game though, its a nice Burger Time clone. I'd recommend it! If you want more Burger Time. I would say, play this one!
This is a very fun filled game with, honestly, a lot of content. While simple in design it gives enough new gimmicks and enemy types as you make your way through the game to keep you fixed on your goal of getting your ice cream back! With a bunch of unlockable characters and fun extras you can try to complete in the post game I would say that this game is 100% worth the full price. So if you want some classic arcade fun with new twists and an overall very polished experience then try this game out!
Gameplay is easy to understand but difficult to master. Enemy patterns seem simple but quickly turn into something you must manage on the fly. Lots of fun challenges to reach for, characters to unlock and some very sneaky secrets to find. Visuals and audio are reminiscent of arcade titles from the 1980s, and that's a good thing. If you are a fan of Burger Time and Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory, you can't go wrong.
I kicked, I scooped, I cried. Fun little Retro Arcade title, with some fun and very challenging levels.
Scoop Kick is, as its description says, a small puzzle game inspired by the old classics. It has super cute pixel art visuals, some music that really got stuck in my head, and there are many levels to complete, with some bonus objectives. It's not too difficult. Perfect for a casual, enjoyable experience. If you want to go for true 100%, however, be prepared for a challenge that will need precise strategic play. Tip: Kick those ice cream scoops into as many enemies as possible and into the same cone for massive points!
I wanted to wait until I 100%'d everything before I left a review, but this game is just wonderful! If single screen arcade action games (à la BurgerTime or Bubble Bobble) appeal to you as much as they do to me, give it a go and you won't be disappointed. Cute art and good music back up the fun gameplay, and it all comes together nicely. The pacing and difficulty curve feel just right too, with new mechanics gradually introduced to keep things fresh. I had a lovely time with it, thanks Ryemanni!
This game is so addictive and cute and if you're curious about a Burgertime style game I definitely recommend it! I'd play more stages if there were some!
they should rename scoop kick to poop ♥♥♥♥
I finished the game at 100% and honestly. It was a blast. Knowing some of Ryemanni's past projects (mostly Rayman Redemption and Redesigner which were amazing fangames), Scoop Kick doesn't disappoint. It mostly takes inspiration from Buger Time, but adds its own flavor to the formula. Most levels were fun to get all types of medals. The enemy cast is pretty varied with each enemies having their own behaviour. The world and level gimmicks are well implemented and the game does allow itself to get really creative with these (especially 2-4, 5-2, and most Bonus levels). Scoop Kick's just one of those games that hardly screws things up anywhere, meaning there isn't really a lot of dirt to throw at it (which is actually nice). I originally wanted it to have some sort of endless mode but, from what I've seen, it's currently being implemented in the game which is really good. Aside from that, the music is pretty good, the sprite work is cool. Overall, it's one of those games that you just can't hate since they're really fun, and proves that arcade inspired games aren't dead. I can't wait to see what Ryemanni has to offer in the future, including Connie and The essence of Chaos, which from what I've seen of the teasers and videos, looks just as good or even better as Scoop Kick.
