재밌지도 않고 재미없지도 않는 신기한 겜
I've logged about 70 or so hours on my ps4. I picked it up on sale so I could play through the DLC. TL;DR, it's a hilariously bad anime action rpg with solid combat. Every character is predictable and cliched, and the story is full of convoluted plot twists and time travel shenanigans. It's also really funny how much Bandai Namco tried to push this game, with it's own anime released shortly after with tie-in events and whatnot. This was supposed to be a "thing". Combat is the highlight here. Each enemy has to be dealt with differently, and the game often challenges you with interesting combinations. It can get really grindy, though, and if you're a completionist, the games quests and challenges are an absolute nightmare. Stuff like locking the weapon skin feature behind playing the game for 30 hours, or collecting obnoxious amounts of money. The soundtrack is also a banger

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Beautiful game, beautiful story, fun combat and cool graphics, I'd highly recommend this to anyone
I...80% recommend this game. I do love it's concept and style, and oh heck the Steam Deck performance is AMAZING. A full 3D action game, kept at full graphics, and my Deck never runs hot or fan heavy while the battery easily lasts for hours on end. So far this is the BEST optimized 3D action game I've played on my Deck, chef's kiss performance there. Also I want to add, for some reason this game has the "souls-like" tag on it....it's not souls-like, at all. A game being hard doesn't equal souls-like. There's nothing about this game that fits the souls-like genre. There's no stamina for all of your actions, movement and combat is fast, using the save NPC doesn't revive all fallen enemies, it's not a souls-like. It's also tagged with "Open World"....it's not. It isn't selecting missions from a menu, but that doesn't mean it's open world. You select areas from the "world map" selections to go into, and each area is a HEAVILY restricted space just like most classic RPGs, NOT open world. Now that 20% "not recommend" is because of the number of issues I have with the combat system. Which kinda says how much I like the game when an action heavy action-RPG's combat system only takes 20% down. 1. So usually in action games like this that have a dodge/counter mechanic, you can dodge-cancel your attack combos...but NOT in this. If you're in an attack combo and you happen to see an attack coming, you need to just hope your attack will end and your dodge will go through. 2. And oh those attacks incoming, quite often there are sections with multiple enemies and you have two party members fighting alongside you...but you remain the target of MOST attacks regardless. Which also means there are a number of times that if you get hit...you'll just be stuck getting hit by enemies taking turns attacking or throwing things at you. 3. Another reason you get stuck, is because when you get knocked onto the ground, most times it's a LONG wait for the character to stand up. I'll be here spamming A (jump) and B (dodge) in the hopes it'll cancel into one of those and I won't have to wait standing up. Thankfully there are some good i-frames where you can't get hit while waiting to stand up...so how is it you can get stuck with constant attacks keeping you down? Because when the character finishe standing up, you lose the i-frames before you can even move, and that's when the next attack knocking you down hits. 4. The I-FRAMES!! Oh those pesky i-frames when dodging, I'm back to the dodging, because OH BOY do those i-frames HATE dodging. They hate dodging so hard the game will rubber band you back to getting hit if you don't dodge an attack before it starts. I seriously don't understand the dodge performance in this game, I get the mechanics, but it just plays the worst. You can't cancel out of your own attacks to dodge an incoming attack, and even if you DO manage to dodge you'll probably still get hit anyway because you didn't dodge early enough because you were attacking and couldn't cancel out. Even if you clearly visibly were not in the location the attack hit, you still get hit, it's either lack of i-frames or your hit boxes don't dodge with you, I don't know. 4-2. A little more for the whole dodge insanity in this game, because I just did the Kasane Phase 7 fight agains Kodama. At one point I used Arashi's SAS to slow time, Kodana dodged my first attack....and then spent the ENTIRE slowed time in i-frames, couldn't touch her. Later in the fight she ran after me swinging her club, I noticed she was faster than Kasane's general movement speed so I hit dodge to kick into a sprint...and was killed. Kodama gets i-frames AS SOON AS SHE DODGES so it lasts Arashi's whole SAS if I don't cancel, meanwhile Kasane's dodge gets i-frames too late to be able to dodge. Adding another because I forgot about this one briefly 5. Kasane's attack. She has a nice mid-range attack attacking with basically shurikens she moves with her power, it's great and all...except it has ZERO verticality. There's an enemy slightly above you and right next to you? Well she can't angle her attack up at all, you have to use the "jump attack" of X+A (more of a rising attack) first, then you get two hits in before they fall, then you land and hit a couple more times before the enemy is back in the air. And if you manage to get an enemy on the ground, say with Shiden's SAS and you paralyze them, if you're too close your attacks will just GO CLEAR OVER THEM. Her attacks remain only perfectly level. 6. ....there was something else but I can't remember at the moment of this edit. I know the game has been out for 5 years now and there is zero chance for any updates on the combat system, but OMFG it NEEDS refinement. Whoever programmed this needs to play other action games and see what the combat should be like. And I really do like this game, that's why I'm pushing through this struggling combat system, but I shouldn't have to.
I've played through the story with Yuito, and I have to say it was a pretty good experience. Is it a perfect 10/10 game? No, but I think that's okay, not every game needs to be perfect, it just needs to be fun... And I had lots of fun playing this game. I will definitely come back and play Kasane's story too. Very underrated game. Solid 7.5/10, highly recommend it to anime lovers.
Very clunky combat mechanic, the combo is very limited and not satisfying, and boring stroyline.
An interesting story and gameplay idea, unfortunately, it's written and created by a team so woefully unprepared for such an ambitious concept that the result is a genuine tragedy. Plot, worldbuilding and characterisation are cataclysmic. The gameplay is stale and repetitive. The cutscenes are some of the worst I've seen in a long time. And man has it been ages since I've had to sit through cutscenes as painfully looooooooooooooong as these ones. I would like to say that a few tweaks here and there would fix this, but the problems with this run so deep the only real fix is a complete from the ground up remake of the entire thing. There is almost no aspect of this that doesn't need to be rewritten, reworked or changed to make this concept something worth recommending. I normally force myself to finish every game I buy even if it's terrible. But considering completing this game requires 2 full playthroughs, one with each protagonist, there is no way I'm wasting any more of my prime annual leave on this right now. Honestly, even after 38 hrs of playing, and maybe one side character that I kind of care about, I just don't care how this mess ends. There is nothing they could do at this point that will make up for the rest. I'm not sure if this game came before or after the show, but if it's any indication of it's quality, the show must be awful.
Verdict: An irrecoverable disaster
Do not buy this game. Do not play this game. If someone bought it for you, do not regift. Refund it or delete it. You've experienced enough ♥♥♥♥ in your life, you don't need to add this to the list. Your time would be better spent anywhere else.
