Such an interesting game with an impressive sci-fi story beginning to be built. I seriously can't wait to see more from this world!
in a lot of ways this is really charming. the voice acting is not "good" but it is very fun. there are a few issues i had though: 1. the very intense amount of head bob is nauseating. combined with the very low FOV and the extreme spin of the space station itself, i got a bit woozy playing this game. please allow us to turn the head bob off and increase the fov! 2. in terms of environment design, everything feels too "chunky," like you're in a playground rather than a real place. it reminds me of the old unreal engine 3 indie games from the early 2010s. 3. zarya's voice mixing is actually painful. not the voice acting, but specifically the way she's filtered to hit this high note that causes me actual ear strain. you can't really get a sense of her voice when she's autotuned all to hell. 4. please remove the jumpscare noises! they're not scary, they're irritating! the tall creepy cleaning robot is effectively unnerving, but then the game takes it into eye-roll territory by forcing a zoom into the cleaning bot's face when you open a door, with a really bad jumpscare musical sting. it was far more irritating than it was scary or charming. you dont need to script the camera, just have the robot behind the door when you open it! usually, things like that happening WITHOUT "you should be scared now" sound effects is far more effective. 5. the distance at which you can "use" objects is way too short, and you have to get right up on them to interact with them. i missed a couple interactibles this way.
Satellite Odyssey: Prologue is an amazing experience and I genuinely loved every minute of it. The atmosphere is incredibly well done — quiet, tense, and full of that lonely deep‑space feeling that keeps you glued to the screen. The story is very interesting, and the way it unfolds makes you want to dig deeper into the world and its mysteries. I played through both endings, and they’re great in their own ways. Each one feels meaningful and adds to the overall narrative instead of just being a throwaway alternate conclusion. It’s rare for a prologue to deliver that kind of impact, but this one absolutely does. I enjoyed this game so much that I applied for the Satellite Odyssey: Jupiter Playtest right away. If the full experience continues with this level of atmosphere and storytelling, it’s going to be something special. Loved the game, loved the vibe, and I’m excited for what’s next.
Its fine, especially for the asking price. Its basically a prologue for another game (which seems much more interesting, it looks like a mix of Bioshock, Resident Evil, and Atomic Heart). Anyway, this is a short jaunt to show off the world and get you hooked to the main thing. But you don't seem to be controlling the woman from the trailer of the main game. On its own its okay, the horror elements kinda fall short abit but the tension and atmosphere is there. Its also somewhat of a retelling of 2001 but HAL is abit more childish. The story is interesting to be sure, I'm excited to see what the main game is actually like.
