Cute little game (and it has a dog you can pet) Will keep playing it
Recomendadisimo!
Pretty cool game! Short and with some innovative mechanics. The pixel art looks increidble, it makes me remember A Short Hike. Hope the devs keep working on some other titles. Recommended for the price!
The game idea is nice, it could be a very relaxing chill game, but the physics are super janky. I managed to lose one of the fountain pieces by just moving it around, same with some cubes, but luckily the game offers more than enough to keep you going on that department. The game's difficulty does not appear from tough puzzles and layered step by step solutions, but a fierce battle against the joining mechanism of the game. I also got stuck in a pool after struggling for 10 minutes with the physics for a single bridge. I'd be more than delighted to recommend this game should it get some polish in the future so that the gameplay is more fluid, but in the current stage it just feels frustrating to play.
I really enjoyed Sands of Hope, especially because of its carefully crafted and detailed visual design. The desert setting pulls you right into the story and makes exploring every corner a real pleasure. Plus, the puzzles are cool and quite entertaining, striking a great balance between challenge and fun.
A cute and relaxing puzzle game with a neat pixel-3D art style that is pleasant to look at. The magnetism mechanic felt a little tricky to use at first, but the controls started to make sense after a little trial and error. You can pet the dog.
Ceak’s Sands of Hope Review

TLDR:
Sands of Hope is a charming exploration puzzle game where you play as Hope, a small robot restoring life to a desert world using magnetic cube mechanics. With clever puzzles, a loyal dog companion, and an atmospheric soundtrack, it offers a satisfying journey. However, some technical quirks, repeated dialogue, and minor control frustrations hold it back from full brilliance.

Game Overview:
Sands of Hope blends environmental puzzles with light exploration and companion-based gameplay. As Hope, you traverse sandy landscapes, solving cube-based challenges to restore water flow to the land. The upgrade and block storage system keeps puzzle-solving fresh, while the desert world hides small surprises and personality in its design. The inclusion of a loyal dog companion adds charm, though its AI can sometimes lag behind during exploration. Dialogue gives world flavor but can feel repetitive, and the aiming controls for magnetic cubes occasionally feel twitchy. Despite these rough edges, the core puzzle-solving remains engaging. Key gameplay highlights include:

Magnetic cube puzzles that steadily introduce new mechanics.
An upgrade system that expands puzzle-solving possibilities.
A loyal dog companion that adds personality and warmth.
Atmospheric soundtrack enhancing immersion.
Varied puzzle environments tied to the desert setting.

Pros:

Clever and plentiful puzzles
Smart block storage and upgrade system
You can pet the dog
Atmospheric soundtrack
Strong tutorial design

Cons:

Some repeated dialogue and grating talking sound
Camera rotation and magnetic aiming feel twitchy
Occasional unclear puzzle mechanics or soft crashes
Dog companion AI can lag behind

Suggestions:

Add more varied companion interactions or utility to the dog
Smooth magnetic cube aiming and camera movement
Reduce repeated dialogue or add optional skip
Improve puzzle clarity in more complex areas

Final Thoughts:
Sands of Hope delivers a unique and endearing puzzle experience with strong core mechanics and a sense of warmth. While control tweaks and polish could elevate it further, puzzle fans will find plenty to enjoy in its thoughtful design and charming atmosphere.
