Paradise Marsh

I really wanted to like this game. Cozy little creature collector with a few side gigs and story. SIGN ME UP! However the absolute clunkiness of controls and appearing lack of consideration for how the game actually handles is just too much for myself to overlook. I get they wanted this game to be about the exploration and the journey and just being chill but it definitely needed some kind of map system, compass, better zone definition. It was far to long into the game before I realized how small the world actually was as it wraps on itself in all directions leaving me very confused as to where I was most of the time. I also had issues with things not going where the dot on the screen showed they should. Overall this had the potential to be a great experience but by then end I was left feeling frustration at how unsatisfying this all was and relief at being finally done with it.

Involves birds that self consciously read you poetry. What more could you ask for in a game?

Nothing beats a relaxing walk in Paradise Marsh, seldom do you find such a rare gem of an experience that oozes with kindness and style. No notes, loved it from start to finish, and will probably return again multiple times to relieve it.

I thought this was just a chill game about catching bugs. Was not expecting such a nice story to go along with it. I finished it up in only three hours. Lovely way to spend the sleepy day after a busy holiday.

O jogo é muito bonito, a atmosfera é misteriosa e reconfortante, trazendo uma sensação de nostalgia mesmo sem nunca ter pisado no mesmo. Os diálogos são calmos, os personagens são únicos e bastante cativantes, te fazendo refletir mesmo numa conversa mais leve com uma borboleta apaixonada. Recebi o jogo como um presente, que veio num momento muito bom e que me fez refletir em meio a um mundo cheio de insetos, aves, constelações e espíritos que carregam remorsos humanos que vale cada diálogo. Certamente irei abrir o jogo mais vezes para finalizar as conquistas e para reviver esse sentimento tão raro nos atuais jogos que eu consumo. Obrigada, lulu, pelo presente, me sinto grato e feliz pelo mix de emoções que esse jogo me trouxe :)

I love the unique personalities for each of the critters inside the game, and the general atmosphere itself was a beautifully enthralling experience. If you're looking for a chill, short and creatively written and portrayed game, this is it.

A very thought-provoking game on life and afterlife with some philosophy, poetry, fishing and catching bugs thrown in. The layout of the world and lack of direction (where are the controls? what do i do?) was initially confusing, but once I figured it out it stopped being a problem. It's clear the game is very sincere and polished, though I agree with others on it being more of an experience than a game. It doesn't take too long to play start to finish, but i definitely enjoyed it. I didn't think I would be getting into such a deep narrative based on the description in the steam store, though I don't regret it.
