About
Welcome to SAND: Raiders of Sophie. Pilot your custom built war machines across the dunes of a fallen planet, battle rival players, scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, survive and extract with your spoils in a massive procedurally generated world.
Out here on Sophie, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler. Fully customizable, gigantic walking mechs that shield you from the elements, defend you and your loot from rival scavengers and rain destruction on anything that obstructs your pursuit of becoming the most notorious raider upon the dunes!
Design a modular trampler where your creativity and will to succeed is your only limit.
Build an impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults, a walking war machine stacked with mounted turrets and firepower, something small and stealthy to get you out of trouble as quickly as you get into it or a chaotic jumble of modules to confuse and disorient your enemies.
No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot. Survive encounters with the mysterious supernatural Upiors, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, locate your extract point and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
Smoke on the horizon, the groans of the undead echoing through the cities, and the distant rumble of sand all signal danger. Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with other scavengers might just be your last, so keep your wits about you.
There are no friends on Sophie, the only ones you can trust are you and yours.
Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes in Storm Dive for higher-tier loot and greater rewards, where as sandstorms slowly engulf the region, the risk of confrontations with other scavengers and the loss of your hard earned loot increases.

super fun, yeah theres a cheater problem but its funny when thats all they have is cheats, killed cheaters over and over and played tug of war over a trampler. they are working on fixing it and doing a great job with bug fixes. games will have cheaters. this aint a $60-$80 game so chill
very fun and the devs seem to be fixing things faster then a lot of other games.
Interesting game, even tho full of bugs :/
This game sounds fun in concept but fails on execution. Do not buy if you are solo, even with a solo lobby folks are cheating and teaming up. It’s a slog trying to juggle all the ship tasks, abandon your ship to loot, and move around the map. Extractions being so sparse and camped makes the success rate on a 30-50 min run excruciatingly frustrating. Hopefully the dev finds a way to add more than 2 game modes and fix the issues so many of us seem to have with glitches, crashes, and cheaters. Steam refused my refund, though much of my time playing for 8 hrs was spent in menus or wasting my time in failure. Maybe had 2 successful extractions out of about 9 rounds.
So to make this short you spawn in a game and spend an hour looting just for some chad with way better gear to come end your run. Extremely unbalanced for players that have a life. if you work for a living and like me like to play solo this games not for you. NO MATCHMAKING MEANS NO FAIR. 0 TUTORIAL AND ONLY THE SWEATY PLAYERS RULE. GREAT CONCEPT TERRIBLE EXICUTION. NO PVE IN THE FUTURE FOR PEOPLE THAT DONT WANNA SWEAT WITH OTHER PLAYERS AND THE GAME IS PURE TOXIC WORST THAN RUST.
This game is very fun and has a solid base to build upon, ignore most of the negative reviews and give it a shot. It can and will surprise you.
very fun with teamates you know not fun at all without
This game has an amazing concept, but it was released wayy to early into development, game has tons of bugs to the point where the game is unplayable. and i think the zombies and other things dont make sense. And should be reworked to stay more focused to the mid-western theme.
this game is absolute garbage the ship design is absolutely horrible and good luck trying to get started in the game because there's so many people who have been playing they just have way better gear and upgrades to destroy you the maps are stupid as hell good luck finding a spot on a map that hasn't been completely looted already so you spend more time trying to get form area to areas then you do getting loot could be an amazing game but way to many garbage features at the moment waist of money buying it
like Sea of Thieves but with more guns. Great if you miss the feeling of Sea of Thieves, but don't want to take up 130+ gigabytes to play the game. Definitely needs optimization work, but for an early access game, it's fair to give it some slack. 7/10 Shows potential.
