About
Welcome to SAND: Raiders of Sophie. Pilot your custom built war machines across the dunes of a fallen planet, battle rival players, scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, survive and extract with your spoils in a massive procedurally generated world.
Out here on Sophie, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler. Fully customizable, gigantic walking mechs that shield you from the elements, defend you and your loot from rival scavengers and rain destruction on anything that obstructs your pursuit of becoming the most notorious raider upon the dunes!
Design a modular trampler where your creativity and will to succeed is your only limit.
Build an impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults, a walking war machine stacked with mounted turrets and firepower, something small and stealthy to get you out of trouble as quickly as you get into it or a chaotic jumble of modules to confuse and disorient your enemies.
No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot. Survive encounters with the mysterious supernatural Upiors, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, locate your extract point and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
Smoke on the horizon, the groans of the undead echoing through the cities, and the distant rumble of sand all signal danger. Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with other scavengers might just be your last, so keep your wits about you.
There are no friends on Sophie, the only ones you can trust are you and yours.
Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes in Storm Dive for higher-tier loot and greater rewards, where as sandstorms slowly engulf the region, the risk of confrontations with other scavengers and the loss of your hard earned loot increases.

THIS GAME IS SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOTHING BUT THIRD PARTY AND GREIFING ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MATCHMAKING WHEN IM THE SMALLEST SHIP GETTING POUNDED BY MASSIVE SHIPS DO NOT BUY
SAND: Raiders of Sophie is one of those rare early‑access games that immediately grabs you with its atmosphere and refuses to let go. Even though it’s tough, sometimes punishing, and definitely still rough around the edges, I genuinely enjoy it. The core gameplay loop is simple but addictive: you build and pilot a massive walking Trampler across a harsh desert world, scavenging ruins, fighting raiders, and managing your crew’s survival. The world feels alive in a strange, eerie way — storms roll in, POIs appear on the horizon, and every expedition feels like a small adventure. The Trampler itself is the star of the show: a lumbering, customizable machine that feels both powerful and fragile. Upgrading it, balancing weight, managing fuel, and choosing weapons gives the game a satisfying engineering vibe. That said, the game is difficult. Fuel management is unforgiving, combat can be brutal, and the desert doesn’t care about your feelings. You’re constantly juggling weight, energy rods, crew safety, and navigation. It’s the kind of difficulty that frustrates you for a moment but keeps you coming back because you want to master it. Since it’s early access, there are bugs — UI glitches, odd physics moments, and occasional crashes. Nothing game‑breaking, but enough to remind you that the game is still being built. Despite that, the foundation is strong, and the developers clearly have a unique vision. Overall, SAND: Raiders of Sophie is a challenging but rewarding desert‑crawler with a ton of potential. If you enjoy survival mechanics, machine management, and exploring strange worlds, it’s absolutely worth playing even in its current state. I like it a lot, and I’m excited to see how it grows.
love the concept and the gameplay is enjoyable but the current state of the community is horrid hackers are breaking the game the devs cant keep up and are disabling features like stealing walkers instead of improving anti cheat. so now the cheaters just spawn camp your cabins since they cant just take your walkers now until you run out of food so yeah its the game is the equivilant of Connor Mcgregor looks fit should be good but blows its acl our right away leaving much to be desired
Imagine Sea of Thieves except instead of water it is land/desert and of course much better, your upgrades actually mean something and are not just cosmetics.
Wasn't fun, the world felt boring and dull, it felt like there was no danger while roaming the dunes. Fights felt boring and like there was no weight behind them. The crawlers felt to slow and like they we're 30 pounds, playing with friends is a nightmare and I'm not even gonna mention the hacking problem
w game never lagged onces and was peak
not a good game at all played for just two hours and they refuse to give me a refund they just try copying sea of thieves but on land and its terrible allowing teamers in solos like they need to fix there game or just shut it down because this is the worst game i have played in a very long time
Great game, needs work on some things but overall a fun time
Fingers Crossed I'm not usually the type of person to leave a review or wishlist a game but I did both for Sand. This game has been on my radar for a long time, way back since closed Beta playtests and tbh I was counting down the days til the release. Before the game released I played both of the server slams and 3 issues became glaringly apparent right away. 1. Hit reg/server issues 2. Gear dif 3. Cheaters I will admit during my time playing during the first couple of weeks I did not have really any run ins with cheaters but some of my friends playing did here and there. The 2 biggest issues at that time were the horrible hit reg and the gear dif. My friends and I stuck it out and low and behold a patch came out and the hitreg now feels really good! However the gear diff issue is horrendous and this is coming from a 2500+ hour Tarkov player. I am familiar with the concept of winning a fight and getting a come up but in Sand its nearly impossible to beat teams with much better tramplers than you. If you have a default ship and you fight a 4x4 4 story tall trampler with experimental guns and amplifiers you will not survive this needs to be addressed or the player base will die fast. Finally the elephant in the room, cheaters. I have only had a couple of run ins with cheaters but I will admit having people literally teleport into your captains quarters and constantly capture your trampler from you over and over til they kill your whole team does get old really quickly. In conclusion, due to the quick updates from the devs fixing in my opinion what was one of the three biggest issues within the first month of launch I am hopeful that they will pull things together and I HOPE this game will be successful but in its current state I cannot recommend it.
Game is great until this recent update. Never get near a trampler that is sinking in the sand. You will get kicked and be reviewed as suspicious activity. I extracted from a small team voyage run and must have lagged out climbing up the rope and never disconnecting. Trampler "made it out" while I was stuck not able to do anything. Lost my trampler and all of the loot I collected. Great game. This update has just made the game a bit unplayable now.
