SanctuaryRPG: Black Edition

very niche, but interesting to experience as a gen Z RPG addicted gamer

I bought this years ago. Still keep coming back to it when nothing else sounds fun.

It is honestly a neat idea, but I can't enjoy a text/ascii game for any length of time.

Thought i'd write a review since it feels like it's been forever since i've been playing on and off. I play in roguelike mode at max dificulty, so i haven't gotten very far in the game since i die. Just from the first zone, there is a nice variety of events and enemies. Multiple mechanics that you can do outside of combat and story events that influence somewhat in the npcs. Every time i play i discover something new, and that's how you know it's a good rpg.

Very fun, well made game. Very simple controls but it doesn't feel empty or poorly made. 10/10 would recommend

i got this for 79 cents i got from selling steam cards, and it's still likely worth the full price, it's fun

I really need to spend more time with this game, because it's absolutely amazing. An RPG where all the pictures are created using ASCII Art, but it's more of the viewpoint of a dungeon-delver, not a traditional tile-based roguelike. It's a really impressive feat that makes for shockingly beautiful environments and scenes, and it's very fun.

É o dark souls dos RPGs ASCII.
