Salammbô: Battle for Carthage

Holy-moly, the art in this game is so good. The gameplay for an adventure game from 2003 is surprisingly solid. The puzzles are mostly logical and straightforward. The storyline is enjoyable. Spendius definitely grows on you as a character. The Myst-like navigation can sometimes be disorienting, but you get used to it very quickly after memorizing the lay of the land. If any game is worth being called a "hidden gem" then it's this one. Playthrough was completed on Manjaro Linux using the latest Proton with no problems. If you use Windows and encounter any difficulties, try using dgVoodoo 2. Overall score is 8/10, highly recommended for any point & click adventure fans.

awesome graphics, fun plot. very comfy

Very old school game. Has some good elements, but ultimately it's a chore. Not a problem in itself if you have patience, but sorry, too many bugs. Ultimately I got to a point where I couldn't advance further due to bugs. Avoid.

Hum... Good and bad. This is a P&C game. The graphics are old but very nice. The music is OK. The story is somewhat interesting. No bugs or crashes. Overall, an interesting experience. The graphics and the atmosphere are great. The story is good and keeps you interested. That's the good part. On the other hand, very dated mechanics, moon logic puzzles, and is hard to navigate. This company, Cryo, was good at experimenting and creating atmospheres and weird worlds to lose in them, but they were pretty bad with their games' technical stuff and playability. This one is quite the child of Cryo. You might like the juice but not everybody would care to go for the squeeze. It's very cheap when on sale. I am still gonna give it a cautious recommendation for those who can appreciate the artwork beyond the gameplay.

This game is a hidden gem. I have a soft spot for point-and-click adventure games, and this one is for sure one of the more memorable I've played. The art style is incredibly gripping and unique, the puzzles are generally fair and the story actually had me wanting to see what happens next, which does not happen for me in these types of game since I play them mostly for the aesthetics. I highly recommend this game, I got about 14 hours out of it and I plan to replay it around Halloween each year, given it's creepy aesthetics and harsh world-building.

Nice little adventure game, that takes you to an alien, yet so familiar world. And don't worry, it is very easy to get this game to run properly, just follow the instructions on Steam guides.

win10跑不了，别试了 不用兼容性设置就闪退 应用兼容性设置就卡死 不管是xp win7 win8都试过了，没用 刚开始以为是改了分辨率的原因，又重新下载一次，变回默认800*600 32bit，结果也就第一次第二次能进去，后面照样卡死或闪退 我甚至还试过直接把电脑本身的分辨率去调到800*600来去适配它，也没用 [hr][/hr] 初始界面的星星、月亮、地球、蛇、牛其实就是五个存档的意思，看你选哪个存档 互动式点击冒险 单击是移动/捡起道具（空手时）/使用道具（手持道具时） 长按是放置道具 单击右键查看道具列表，再次点击右键回到空手状态

прикольно, но много суеты и ситуаций "а ну-ка попробуй угадай последовательность", очень однообразное графическое оформление из-за которого просто путаешься при переходе от места к месту и гоняешь кругами, а потом игра "потеряла" мой сейв в самой последней главе...

Le dernier jeu Cryo avant leur fermeture il me semble, pour une autre adaptation d'un roman de Gustave Flaubert & de la BD de Philippe Druillet dans un point'n click à la 1ère personne, très linéaire & assez simpliste comparé à leur autres séries de jeux plus Myst-like comme les Atlantis, Egypte, Ring, Versailles, Le Secret du Nautilus etc... Sorti en 2003, le jeu est forcément dépassé techniquement mais il y reste une direction artistique qui mérite le détour, des voix françaises impeccables & des rebondissements dans l'histoire sachant qu'on peut mourir assez facilement en fonction des actions. Il reste assez court comme leurs autres jeux du style si on ne bloque pas trop sur les énigmes & est de même par moment un peu désorientant en fonction des placements de caméra & de l’architecture des lieux. (vu l'ancien moteur maison 3D utilisé pour la vue à 360°) Fonctionne sans trop de problèmes sous W11, il bugge vers le 2ème tiers du jeu quand il faudra utiliser une monture, il bloque sur les déplacements sur la carte, certains spam F5 pour faire avancer le perso sur la carte, sinon copier les fichiers D3D8.dll, D3DImm.dll, DDraw.dll du wrapper dgVoodoo dans le répertoire source fonctionnera sans problème (excepté que le jeu passera en 16/9 au lieu de 4/3 ce qui l'étirera...)
