Через 20 минут я уже президент США, спасаю мир от инопланетян и при этом бегаю по стенам быстрее, чем у меня загружается мозг по утрам. Эта игра — это когда разработчики сказали: “реализм? не слышали. давайте дадим игроку всё сразу и посмотрим, что будет.” И получился результат: — ты прыгаешь как ракета — дерёшься как баг в физике — и водишь машины так, будто законы Ньютона в отпуске Сюжет можно описать просто: ты нормальный человек тебя бросают в симуляцию ты становишься богом хаоса всё это под музыку, которая заставляет тебя думать, что ты главный герой вселенной Отдельный респект суперспособностям. После них любая другая игра ощущается как: “почему я не могу просто ускориться и сломать реальность?” Боевая система: — кнопка “весело” — кнопка “ещё веселее” — и кнопка “я не понимаю, что происходит, но мне нравится” Самое страшное — это то, что игра вообще не пытается быть серьёзной. И ты сначала такой: “ха, прикол” А потом через 6 часов уже сражаешься с инопланетным диктатором, потому что это “обычный вторник”. Итог: 10/10 Игра — это когда тебе дают суперсилы и говорят: “иди спасай мир” а ты отвечаешь: “я сначала пробегусь по небоскрёбу, как человек с проблемами доверия к физике.”

Saints Row IV ist kein normales Spiel. Es ist ein digitaler Fiebertraum auf Drogen. Wenn du flachen, politisch inkorrekten und absolut stumpfen Humor suchst, bei dem man einfach nur laut lachen muss, weil das Spiel in jeder einzelnen Sekunde maßlos übertreibt – dann herzlichen Glückwunsch, du bist hier richtig! Nichts für schwache Nerven, aber verdammt lustig. Das absolute Fest: Als US-Präsident mit Superkräften Aliens mit einer Dubstep-Kanone in die Luft jagen, während im Hintergrund feinstes Pop-Kulturen-Feuerwerk abfackelt? Absolut genial. Ich habe mich stellenweise wirklich kaputtgelacht. Das Spiel nimmt sich selbst keine Sekunde ernst und das ist die größte Stärke. Die nackte, frustrierende Wahrheit: Ein technisches Wrack: Das Spiel ist optisch und technisch schlechter gealtert als eine offene Packung Milch in der Wüstensonne. Das Savegame-Roulette: Wer hier die Herausforderungen auf 100 % komplettieren will, braucht stärkere Nerven als ein tibetanischer Mönch. Das Spiel stürzt so unfassbar gerne ab, dass die wichtigste Tastatur-Kombo nicht „Laufen und Schießen“, sondern das manuelle Erstellen von fünf verschiedenen Sicherheits-Spielständen ist. Wer hier nicht permanent mitsichert, dessen Spielstand löst sich schneller in Luft auf als die Erde im Intro. Eine absolute Frechheit. Fazit: 7/10 Dubstep-Kanonen. Inhaltlich ein absolut grandioser, stumpfer Party-Spaß mit Lachgarantie. Technisch leider so instabil, dass man nebenbei ein Informatikstudium braucht, um seine Spielstände zu retten. Nur für schmerzfreie Humor-Liebhaber zu empfehlen!

Unstable and slightly buggy with audio and animations. This honestly felt worse to play than the third game. Third felt much more polished. The game also crashes randomly, losing alot of progression if you forgot to save or the auto save didn't hit a key points. Also Epic Games Online Services is needed, no choice, you can't ignore it as it will constantly harass you to enter your information. Even if you have no desire to play online. Swapping to Legacy mode is an alternative, but it comes at the cost of the updates and DLCs. It felt a bit more unstable to play on. Another alternative is to turn steam to offline mode when playing, you just run the chance of not getting achievements. I tested it, and didn't get one to pop. SR4 was what got me into the franchise, its a shame how this version turned out.

The game is pretty good, the superpowers are a great addition and the gameplay in general feels somewhat more refined than in the third game, but I am giving it a negative review solely because of the addition of the horrible Epic Games Launcher, which kept pausing the game and even made the game crash once just because I did not want to link my Epic account. I am also not a big fan of the story, I get that the game is all about being funny and absurd, but the entire simulation thing is nonsense and makes the game world feel completely lifeless. The mission design is a bit questionable at times too, there is quite a bit of variety, but some of the missions are about as fun as getting waterboarded.
