A short psychological horror game, where you attempt to gain root access into an unethical superstructure.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Sep 7 → 8.71/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Jul 24 → 8.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
"s.p.l.i.t" is a short narrative driven horror game, with a focus on raw terminal hacking using various commands.
Throughout the game, you chat with your fellow technicians in order to plan and execute a malware attack. Regardless of the outcome, your story won't be told for decades.
Will you hold up your end?
First person gameplay with diegetic & immersive UI.
An IRC chat where you gain intel, and learn more about the facility.
A terminal where you run software, navigate directories, and execute commands.
Detailed command prompt hacking puzzles with an emphasis on traditional inputs.
Original soundtrack.
The facility you and your crew infiltrate is a superstructure of unethical electronics.
The daunting task is only made possible by careful planning, and vulnerabilities hidden deep below legacy code and engineering.

INSANELY INSPIRATIONAL and impactful for such a short experience; dark yet realistic glimpse at what humanity could be facing in the not-so-distant future as well... eerily real and immersive

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Short, intense, dark. The world is intriguing, I want to know more about the machine and the megacorp. The soundtrack and atmosphere is also just pure chefs kiss.
Neat little game. If you are born before Win. 3.1 you'll probably manage to navigate pretty easy through the OS. Without roaming around and looking for secrets, est. playtime 30 min. to rech both endings. I've tried to find some secrets or easter eggs but haven't discovered any (except some game names and minor stuff). No real story, just some mysterious hacking. A pre- or sequel would be great.
Terrific game. At last I was able to experience a new psychological horror + hacking game. The atmosphere really gets to you.
