About
You are not the hero. You don’t explore. You don’t fight. You watch.
Stationed on a remote surveillance outpost at the edge of deep space, your only task is to monitor security feeds. But something’s wrong. A chair shifts. A shadow lingers. A figure appears where no one should be.
Welcome to First Shift, the chilling debut of the Observer Protocol series — a minimalist surveillance horror game where quiet tension and creeping dread take center stage.
Flip between camera feeds, scanning for subtle, unsettling changes. Miss an anomaly, and it spreads. Doubt what you saw, and the truth slips further away.
Inspired by I'm on Observation Duty, First Shift trades jump scares for an oppressive, slow-burn psychological horror experience.
Can you trust your eyes? Or is something watching you back?
Immersive anomaly-spotting gameplay rooted in pattern recognition and subtle environmental changes
Isolated deep-space setting that amplifies paranoia and claustrophobia
No combat, no jump scares — just tension, surveillance, and creeping unease
Ideal for fans of I’m on Observation Duty, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and psychological horror games
Part of the Observer Protocol series — expanding into new locations and unseen threats

For people with "where's waldo" eyes. I'm pretty sure I'm just really bad at it, but I felt like half of the anomalies weren't noticeable at all. I just kept losing over and over and only saw one or two creepy anomalies. I like the style choice however so I recommend this to anyone who enjoys hidden object types and has excellent short-term photographic memories. My only thoughts that would make the game better for people like me would be a wider range of audio cues that could assist either in determining what type of anomaly to look for, or maybe what room an anomaly just occurred in.
