About

Embark on quests, level your skills and explore a beautiful hand-crafted world.
This all-new adventure blends high-fantasy and iconic RuneScape lore on a brand new continent. RPG systems reward you with unique abilities and spells as you progress through each skill. Battle legendary RuneScape creatures like Zogres, challenge Black Knights and the entirely new and fearsome Garou, all set to a sweeping soundtrack of reorchestrated RuneScape classics and hours of brand new music.

Locate them, throw down the gauntlet and carve your path to the Dragon Queen herself.
Your progress will be under constant threat from the looming shadow of the Dragons, as you arm yourself and prepare to rise to face them. Follow the trail of destruction and uncover the mysteries of the continent to learn not just how to confront the dragons, but how to overcome them. Prepare potions, craft gear and push yourself to do battle with the most powerful force on the continent.
The smart money's on the dragon. But we do love an underdog!

Summon a spectral axe to fell trees in an instant! Blink away from danger in a cloud of magic. Turn bones into... peaches?
The Anima-rich landscape of Ashenfall offers you a power unlike any other. Conjure a tornado of fish from a lake! Explode ore veins with a snap of your fingers! Journey through the vibrant regions of Ashenfall, discover why wild magic spills from the fractured lands and harness that power to survive!

Like all RuneScape games, community is at the heart of everything we do.
We've shaped our entire roadmap based on player feedback, leading us to launch dedicated servers earlier than planned, introduce new combat and new quest content. Working together we're continuing to develop RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Whether you're adventuring with friends or going it alone, every opinion matters, and it's up to you to help us shape the future of our game.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds started Alpha testing in late 2024, and is launching into Early Access in Spring 2025. From here, our humble team of heroes is developing the project with player feedback at the very core.
This Steam Early Access game is currently not a finished game and may or may not change significantly over the course of development. To learn more about Steam Early Access, please visit the Steam Early Access FAQs.

Reviews
Extremely fun game, as you can see I have 87 hours at the time of review even in early access and I'm still not caught up in umbral sands. Very fun survival crafting game that's typically relaxing unless you're pushing content, but farming and fishing are great additions and I'm excited for agility.
ok
It is super fun cozy game! I love the aesthetic and feeling of being in the world. Could cook a bit more with new updates and additions to spells, abilities, and elaborate on armor sets. The skills are fun overall but could use depth, but it is a good game to play with some buds for sure.
incredible game. been a fan of runescape since runescape classic. can't wait to see what else is in store.
After I cut trees for the first 3 hrs of playing I realized I could keep chopping for another 3hrs. Good game
I've had an amazing time with this game! Great pacing, progression, and skills. Still a couple QoL features I would like to see. Such as: Being able to cast spells while your inventory is open. Wider range on chest's inventory when constructing. Some kind of jump attack would be amazing!
Mostly play on SteamDeck but also play on PC. This is a very addicting game but can be incredibly punishing to the "casual" sort of player. I don't mind the concept of running back to get my items after my death but I find the combat just....awkward? I feel like no matter how much armour I have and level armour I have, I could easily die when I'm slapping enemies with everything I have. If you don't play in a way where you pick of big groups one-by-one, you can easily die The building mechanics are the best I've personally seen for types of games like this, my only issue with it is that there isn't an option to move items already placed, you have to delete them then place them again (if you can have the inventory for it). I also enjoy the fact that you can build ANYWHERE! Need to cook food on the go? just grab materials off the floor and craft a fire and there you go! Personally, I feel the world is a bit empty. Yes we have public servers, but majority of the time, people lock them, which seems pointless to me for a public world. If there was a dedicated world like in Runescape where I could meet other people and play, that would be great (not sure how building would work though?) Is it fun? yes Is it worth the money in EA? yes! and for SD, runs smoothly, controls are a bit odd but it's currently listed as unsupported for now
I only have 6 hours to this game but I've been waiting for a survival game where I actually want to keep playing. Of course survival has been saturated for years, but this one with the mix of magic, survival, exploration, and general combat is very satisfying. Updates happen and before buying I remember being scared of the update quantity being low, but the quality of them seem very high. I am currently happy with this game!
good game
