Like all RuneScape games, community is at the heart of everything we do.
We've shaped our entire roadmap based on player feedback, leading us to launch dedicated servers earlier than planned, introduce new combat and new quest content. Working together we're continuing to develop RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Whether you're adventuring with friends or going it alone, every opinion matters, and it's up to you to help us shape the future of our game.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds started Alpha testing in late 2024, and is launching into Early Access in Spring 2025. From here, our humble team of heroes is developing the project with player feedback at the very core.
This Steam Early Access game is currently not a finished game and may or may not change significantly over the course of development. To learn more about Steam Early Access, please visit the Steam Early Access FAQs.

I'm loving this game. I've been using it to unwind after work and it just works for me. The crafting and building systems feel great to use that I actually spent time building a nice base. The whole magic system using runes is interesting as well. I feel It is a little clunky with a keyboard/mouse but I think I can see it making sense with a controller. I also love the hidden little things you find when exploring. I'm a slut for exploration treats. Anyways... I'll be enjoying this game for quite a while. Thanks devs.
So far very enjoyable, love the mechanics! Some tasks feel like artifically inflated to slow progress but still the systems and exploration is very fun!
It used to be first MMO. I was maybe 14, or so. it's good to see they rehashed the music, the skills, the bosses and ennemies.. they are all back. it's excellent, and I commend the Jagex Team for keeping their heads up through all these years. Bring Ancient Magic - Blood Magic to be specific and we are so back.
If you like survival games, this is a great fit. As an osrs player, i enjoyed seeing familiar weapons/npc's/monsters in a whole other game. This game is highly addictive
So far having a wonderful time and its giving me my RS fix... The plugin is optional at the beginning. The game runs really smooth. There is a decent amount of content right now, if you don't grind your tits off you'll have at least 100+ hours easily... Solo is a good challenge but I can definitely see this being fun with friends. Take your time, try to get immersed a bit! Everything has purpose, even your burnt food. This game will definitely continue to grow and do well. I was SUPER skeptical with the recommended comments but I'm glad I decided to purchase.
grindy love it ;)
Great and Amazing Survival Game. Love every aspect of this game. Looking forward to further improvements.
I have been playing RuneScape since the end of OG Classic and the start of RuneScape 2, and I honestly fell in love with Dragonwilds. It feels like everything I imagined a 3D RuneScape game could be. It feels fresh, exciting, and brings back the feeling I had playing RuneScape as a kid. I am about 60 hours in and still have not beaten the first dragon because I have been taking my time exploring, building, gathering, and enjoying the world. My biggest problem is that the game feels empty. Outside of a few characters at the start, the old man, the goblin in the cage, and some ghost-like NPCs, there is almost nobody to talk to or care about. There are ruins, towns, houses, castles, and villages everywhere, but nobody is living in them. When I play alone, I start wondering who I am saving and why I am clearing out these places if nobody is coming back. Even with that problem, I still really love this game and plan to keep playing it. The gameplay, world, building, and exploration have kept me hooked enough to play during my lunch breaks using Steam Link, my phone, and a wireless controller. I just hope they add more NPCs, towns, companions, stories, and small RuneScape-style quests to make the world feel more alive. Dragonwilds already has something special, and with more life added to the world, it could become one of my favorite RuneScape experiences.
