Like all RuneScape games, community is at the heart of everything we do.
We've shaped our entire roadmap based on player feedback, leading us to launch dedicated servers earlier than planned, introduce new combat and new quest content. Working together we're continuing to develop RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Whether you're adventuring with friends or going it alone, every opinion matters, and it's up to you to help us shape the future of our game.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds started Alpha testing in late 2024, and is launching into Early Access in Spring 2025. From here, our humble team of heroes is developing the project with player feedback at the very core.
This Steam Early Access game is currently not a finished game and may or may not change significantly over the course of development. To learn more about Steam Early Access, please visit the Steam Early Access FAQs.

Fun survival game set in an alternate RuneScape universe, I like it
yes
Absolute masterpiece!!
I just... cannot recomend this game. This game should just be better. Right now its an incredibly shallow experience on so maaany levels. Like the world - it is divided into some zones. But the zones are just... divided by literall walls and scheme colours. Why it is done like this is beyond me because it is so jarring, it is just incredible. With that also come the next issue - enemy variety. Want to fight the same enemy types? But they will be harder to it will not be boring. Cmon. If you progress to zone 5 you would think it will be better - BUT THEY ARE THE SAME ENEMY TYPE. JUST NOW THEY ARE NOT GOBLINS, BUT GAROU OR SKELETONS. FFS WHY. Now the combat - its not bad, but it definietly aint good either. Its just clunky and slow and has an animation lock, is focused on the parry systems thats just aint good. And i do like parry systems. But this one is not enjoyable. Also there is barely any variety, every weapon is the same, just does more damage and thats it. And that is also a problem tied to exploration. Because this game sucks at that - and sucks horribly. You went to the dungeon and obtain a completly new set of armor? Wow - so it will be better? Yes??? What? It cost exactly the same except it cost gold ingots instead of Iron ones? Okey? But... you need iron tools anyway to obtain gold... At least it is better, right????? Nope. It just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ looks different. Set bonuses maybe? Nope. 3 TYPES OF SET BONUSES (melee, ranged and magic - thats all 3) and thats all. There is no variety anywhere. That armor was one of my breaking point for this game. Lets go with farming now maybe. IT SUCKS. Want to have a small farm? Well - you need to click 5 times after placing the farm plot to get rid of weeds. Then get water. Then click 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times again to water it. Then do it again tomorrow or plants will get sick and die. Best part is that if you ignore farms for a moment they will be overgrown with weeds again. You need to click then 15 freaking times to make then usable again. THIS IS PER FARM PLOT. It is stupidly grindy to have farm plots - and yet they have a very little chance (30% i think if you MAX THE SKILL - and i do think it will be grindy as heck to achieve that so throught the most game the seed return rate will be around 10% - this on its own isnt bad, it forces you to explore previous zones, but when connected with that atrocious farming system it is just bad). But it gets worse. There are also potions and food here. However - there are only 3 potions that do something else than to give you more exp or less stamina consumption - thats poison resistance and critical chance. Food is the same - you get a few more that increase resistance to bleed or shock - but thats all. There is no variety here. OH, but there are also infusions - which do exactly the same as the upper ones. There is also jewelers bench which after you build - only has more of the "more exp" trope. Cool. Albeit according to wiki it gets more varied the further you go. So basically you have one slot that can give you some flexibility. Wow. The "leveling" system is also a joke. There is no benefit to it excluding the recipe unlocks. But you have 99 levels of i think 10 categories - and it gives like -0.5% of stamina cost reduction or 0.3 chance of critical hit for mining. Its incredibly boring, grindy (at levels 50+) and unrewarding. Also there are dozens of capes you can find in this game. The only thing they are doing is the same - a +2 dmg resistance and different colours. Ill give credit where credit is due. Building is cool and has great potential for decorations and the magic system based on different runes instead of mana is great too - especially that a lot of them are QoL magic. I love survival games but this game lacks any meaningfull exploration, meaningfull progression or any variety for gameplay. It does not have anything to offer and i sinceraly regret that i bought it.
