Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Very good game. It's a farm and town/village simulator mixed with a action JRPG. There is tons of things to do and the activities are very fun. The visuals is nice too. Combat is very easy and effortless, even on hard mode. The game consumes a huge amount of time thou.

目前看来很一般，战斗种田经营探索恋爱都沾一点但也仅是及格程度，且人物动作十分僵硬，成就感不高，我完全是为了自己花的那么多钱而强撑着玩下去，除非有很喜欢的角色不然打下去几乎0动力，完全没有对我xp的角色。[spoiler]真的是不如二游[/spoiler]

Not just one of the best Rune Factory games, but my favorite game of 2025. Solid characters, fun gameplay, village building is really addictive, being able to have villagers manage the farm makes days feel less time restrictive, doesn't suffer from the pacing issues of Rune Factory 4, isn't garbage like Rune Factory 5. As far as the franchise goes, I'd rank it just above Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and just below Rune Factory 4. Probably my second favorite entry in the franchise.

Overall I'd have to recommend this game with some caveats. There are some severe technical issues that are pretty egregious. Specifically there's a memory leak issue that made it so I had to restart my computer after playing a few hours. The pacing can be kinda bad, the combat is pretty bland and easy, the gearing is way dumbed down, in fact pretty much everything is dumbed down. I'd call this the JRPG of the Rune Factory series. That all being said, I still think it was a fun experience even despite the huge flaws. I'm glad I played it, and I hope RF6 can iterate on some of what was shown here. RF4 still remains the king of farming sims, but this was a solid effort that sadly lacked a lot of that game's polish.

Its like fine??? I wish there was thumbs middle on steam, thats what this one gets. I like farming a lot in farming games, and farming is just not much of a thing in this one. The flow of the story and progression is also kind of bizarre, after the first third of the game, the power curve shoots up and you just kind of invalidate the entire overworld. It's good, though! I liked it, despite everything. Its just kind of a mess.
