About
RUMBLE is a VR multiplayer fighting game where you get earthbending powers! Earn Battle Points by defeating other players in intense 1-on-1 matches in the arena, rank up, and unlock more powers to play with!
Your new earthbending abilities are performed by making movements inspired by real martial arts. All abilities have their own pose you need to hit just right in order to use them effectively. When you’ve mastered the movements, you can start combining them together to attack your opponent, and defend yourself from their strikes!
Even when you’ve unlocked all of the moves available to you, there will still be much to learn. Keep fighting, and you will continue to get better and better!
The Park
Besides 1v1 arena matches, you can also go to the Park! Up to 6 players can join a Park, where you can then train together, play mini-games, host tournaments, or play with the toys scattered all throughout the area!
Cross-Platform Play
RUMBLE features cross-platform play, meaning that if you play on PC but a friend plays on Standalone VR hardware, you will still be able to play together!
Character Customization
RUMBLE features a big character customization system for those who really enjoy making their own characters look interesting and unique. At the Gear Market, you can trade in Gear Coins (which you earn by playing online) for new items to customize your character with!
The Rock Cam

RUMBLE is Such an Amazing VR game, it is an ACTUAL VR martial Art, Not Tied to Normal Martial Arts, it can become it's own thing. And like a Martial Art, to see any significant progress, you have to train Regularly. Thankfully there are Tons of people both in game and in the discord who will put their stones down to answer any questions and coach you through hard combos or concepts. Like the Straight Uppercut Combo, it's ultimately a Flick of the wrist, but they'll be able to see "Your straight is too high" "you're moving to aggressively, slower movements." RUMBLE does not use Buttons for its moves. It allows you to be more immersed by forgetting Aiming a Laser pointer from your Controller, it's all in the ROTATION and POSITIONING of your hands. And It avoids other small things that break immersion in other VR games. Like physical feed back when you hit your opponent. You don't punch your opponent, damage is done by the Rocks you summon and manipulate. And that's the best thing about this game, you don't physically touch the rocks to interact, you just hit the Magic Pose, and the effect is applied, like an uppercut or punch, is not AIMED at the rock, it just hit's whatever rock is closest. This also goes for the Telekinesis moves, Like Hold and Flick. Hold makes structures directly follow your hand(s). It's use for Offense and Defense Exponentially raises the Skill ceiling for Rumble. I want to get into it, but I'd be here all day talking about it's uses, and I want to move on to my FAVORITE Thing about Rumble. Flight. Flying in Rumble is Outstanding, both in Quality and Uniqueness. using the Flick Pose, which lets you control a structures position AND rotation with Both hands, allows for the ability to rotate and tilt structures around others, and Yourself. The Physics of the game says that if two Objects are moving in roughly the same direction, they will not break on each other, be it rocks, or the Player. Meaning you can Jump and pull a structure Underneath you to lift your self up and fly around! It is VERY hard at first. Just like Everything else in this game, AND martial arts. It will take Weeks and Months of Practice until you can replicate anything, let alone Flying, Consistently. And it's Unlike ANYTHING I've Ever seen before, Flying in VR is always Flight Simulators. or web slinging or jetpack based. But Flying in Rumble requires Technique, Finesse, Elegance, as well as a Firm and Gentle Grip. It's not something you can just Click a button to do. If this interests you at all, Please watch either "What is the Hardest Skill in VR" by Shoeless man on youtube, or Windettes "RUMBLE but explained in Insults" video. for a shorter and funnier, but not as narratively driven video. I Am Confident to say that you'd Like RUMBLE. And It's also works Standalone on the Quest as well!
not for wheelchair poeple
This was my first ever VR game and literally the reason why i got VR in the first place, so Rumble holds a special place in my heart. But after having played a lot of different VR games I can confidently say that this game being special is not a coincidence. There is literally less VR games that can match or surpass Rumble than there are fingers in your hand, AND NONE OF THEM ARE MULTIPLAYER! You would expect that this game to have a sweaty toxic playerbase which rivals Miyazaki's swamp levels in Dark Souls in terms of toxicity but you would be surprised at how welcoming and any player you would meet is! I basically started this game twice once on PC where all my hours come from and one on Quest since Meta decided to brick the cable connection to my PC so i had to wait for the standalone release. And in none of my matches did i ever meet someone that truly was toxic towards me or made me feel bad. You will meet GODS in this game, they are on another level. Once you see them the only real thing you can do is pray and try to learn. OR EVEN ASK THEM TO TEACH YOU. I HAVE NEVER MET A COMMUNITY THAT WAS MORE WILLING TO TEACH NEW PLAYERS THAN THIS GAME AND YOU WANNA KNOW THE NEAT THING? Since you encounter such nice people, you end up becoming one of them. I have never said no to a white belt asking to be taught Most of the time they dont even has to ask I just ask them to show me their moves They show me some moves I assess their skill level Show them some moves We have a nice match I show them some cooler moves They get inspired to the same! TLDR: Just buy the game and play it I said my PC couldnt run it wire but with wireless its way smoother so i could recommend that I also recommend you to get the game on Quest if your computer has problems running it, most of my hours are on Quest and I DO NOT REGRET BUYING THIS GAME TWICE ITS THAT GOOD On Quest Standalone it works flawlessly as well so get any you want Thats about it cya
Intro | Overall Rating - 5/10
So I want to start this review off positive. This game is honestly incredibly underrated. It is a ton of fun, and just the game feels amazing. You can tell a lot of love went into creating this game, and I hope it is able to get the player base and recognition it deserves! Below is a simplified version of just pros and cons of the game.

Earth Bending & Training - 6/10

Pros

Feels very natural to earthbend
Decent amount of moves
Tons of fun combos
Allows for experimentation to create your own combos
Feels incredibly rewarding to learn
Lots of cool mechanics
Good workout (if you are into that stuff)
They give you a training area in the main spawn camp with a board and ghost to teach you poses
Can go into a training area and practice by yourself or with a friend

Cons

Hard to master (While I love this, it does push players away, especially because of PVP)
For older players, the game needs more moves honestly
Lots of untapped potential
No real way to train against a good AI unless you install mods

Features I would like to see

More earth bending moves
More shift stones
Incorporating crouching or variation in player height into new earth bending moves (I like games that make me workout)
Being able to record poses so I can practice them better (Only possible with mods right now)

Final Thoughts
I honestly think the earth bending in this game is unmatched by any other VR game by so much. I love the feel of it, and I hope it continues to go in an amazing direction. I think if this game decided to attempt other types of bending, this game would truly be one of a kind and outmatch any other game currently out, which in terms of bending and feel it already does.

Social Systems, PVE & PVP - 4/10

Pros

Fun with friends
Basic friend system and basic friend matchup for PVP system
Can go into a training area and practice with people who will not
destroy the ♥♥♥♥ out of you (Fun with friends)
Has a cute little fist bump thing that people do (It is really cute)

Cons

Desync issues
Super low player counts (Like 8 people if you are lucky)
Only sweaty try-hards
Really only fun with friends
Locks huge amounts of the game behind PVP, making it kind of
unplayable and unfun
No real PVE alternative to unlock belts and customization that I know of (Could be wrong)
Limited game modes for leveling up

Features I would like to see

More PVE alternatives without having to install mods
Party systems
Spectator options and more combat modes like 2v2, 3v3, etc.
Mini-game PVP mode

Final Thoughts
While I think Social Systems, PVE & PVP are fun, however, in its current state, it is borderline unplayable for PVP at least. It locks a lot of stuff like customization and leveling up behind it, which sucks because of how dead the game is. I really wanted to rate this a lot higher and rate the entire game a lot higher, but this game is stuck in a really bad cycle. :(

Maps, Environment & Ambiance - 6/10

Pros

Beautiful art style for Maps and Environment
Very good 3D models for Maps and Environment
Well detailed and lots of love put into the Maps and Environment
Very nice sounding Ambiance (Wish there was a meditating area, ngl)
Fun targets around the spawn camp and training area

Cons

From what I know, there is no way to clear stone or other earth bending stuff from the main spawn area (could be wrong)
Sounds from leftover earth bending stuff get in the way of the Ambiance
Not a lot of maps: only 2 for PVP, 1 for spawn camp, and 1 for training area (to my knowledge)

Feature I would like to see

More maps for training area, spawn camp, and PVP
A more well thought-out training area with PVE, more centralized targets, and more tools for training

Final Thoughts
I am a huge fan of how the maps look. You can honestly really tell how much love and thought went into them, and I really hope they add more maps to this game!

Customization - 3/10

Pros

The look of the characters is really well made
Decent selection of armor and outfits
Custom titles and name plates

Cons

Earning points to unlock gear is locked behind PVP
Very limited customization for female hair
Limited customization for certain items regarding colors

Features I would like to see

More female hairstyles
More color options

Final Thoughts
Honestly, I really love the customization, and it really does pain me to give this such a low score. I originally wanted to give it a 7/10, but as I am writing this, I realized it really does not offer too much. I think for a game like this, it is fine, so my personal opinion is 6 to 7/10 because I really do love it.

Final thoughts and stuff

Misc Features Id like to see

Advertising the game more and getting it more recognition (Not going to pretend to know their money situation or if they have the budget to do this, but I really do not want to see this game die. I love it so much)
I am not too into the community side of things, but I do not think there is a lot of dev team-hosted events, which I think would really help make the game more alive
Feedback option in-game or on the website so I do not need to join a Discord

Features That Probably Will Never Get Added But I Would Love to See

Different types of bending (If any game and dev is going to do this right, I feel it is these guys who made Rumble)
A towel for the sweaty players who make PVP unfun (This is a joke)

Why such a low rating?
Honestly, I wanted to give this a much higher rating, but I think the game, while one of my favorite games and one I play a lot, just has so many missed opportunities and potential that it just does not live up to what it could be. This game could honestly be one of the best VR games ever with more time, so I will probably change my rating as time goes on. <3 p.s I don't actually play a lot of games so 30 hours in a game is a lot to me.
best VR game atm
Buy only when you completely understand what you're going to be going through. If you want a VR workout with ranked gameplay elements, I very much recommend.
This game needs more players the only problem I have with it is queue time
There's a total of 8 players online at the time of writing this. Which means you'll only be able to perform 2 basic moves, as the game requires you to be a higher level to unlock the rest, which is only achievable via multiplayer...
best vr game ever
Makes me feel like toph. 10/10 .
