Ruined King: A League of Legends Story™

It is loads of fun. Especially when you like Runterra universe and/or League of Legends lore.

Greetings! Today we’ll be looking at Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which is a classic RPG made by the those who brought us Battle Chasers. I knew I wanted this game the moment it was announced as I love the more classic RPG systems and sick of this new design space for modern RPGs to basically be a Devil May Cry Action game. So, beyond that, is it worth it? Let’s Discuss! A League of Its Own: What you have here is a classic RPG; where I line up on the left and you line up on the right as God Intended! Seriously though, the RPG mechanics are well done and should make you feel at home if you grew up with the classic Final Fantasies or games of that genre. Add in the setting of the MOBA LOL; which I always found the backgrounds extremely interesting. Now, you’ve got a very well done RPG. The Art style is very well done, the voice acting is great and the story isn’t too bad either. Legends Never Die: This game follows the Battle Chasers system very closely but there are some interesting adjustments, such as picking your ‘lane’ for attacks. You can either go fast, balance or power lanes each doing exactly what they sound like. In addition the enemies have unique mechanics, some can only be hurt effectively in certain lanes, and others will get more powerful or weaker when attacked in a lane. You actually have to think about your approach, some mechanics will flat out one shot your party if you aren’t paying attention. I love this; modern mechanics with classic design. The game also lets you ‘respec’ freely, which allows you to try new things and encourages experimentation. GG EZ: There are a fair bit of issues with this game. The biggest issue I had was quests unlocking long before you can even attempt them, maps not updating and chests not being marked as found long after they were. Much of this is corrected by saving, and relogging but some of them continued throughout the game. I also did some research to find that this is not a rare occurrence, some even encountered game ending bugs. Bugs aside, I love this game. If you want a classic style RPG, with a good story (bonus points if you like the LOL setting) this is a easy purchase. Now, if only they’d make another. I want to see Nasus and Orianna please. Sistema de combate con habilidades caracteristicas del juego principal de Riot, pero con un toque que lo hace especial. Al final se hace un poquito largo, parece que no llega nunca la pelea final.

7,5/10 O jogo tem uma história muito cativante, como amante do universo de Runeterra, me entreteu bastante, tem bastante conteúdo de side quests, as mecânicas de luta são legais, mas sinto que o sistema de itens é irritante no mínimo, mas dá pra ignorar esse problema. No fim de tudo, é um jogo curto que vale a pena pegar na promoção, não pagaria por preço cheio. OBS.: Eu nunca vi um sistema de pesca tão meia boca que nem o desse jogo, sem graça, não é recompensador e é monótono.

Разработкой занималась студия Airship Syndicate , известная своими качественными проектами, а издателем выступила Riot Forge — так что качество соответствует ожиданиям.
