8/10 a nice game but the bugs man...
this is probably my first long jrpg game style that I 100% so it has many random encounters, also it had many game breaking bug that are fixed if you reload your save, also don't get Depend on AUTOSAVE YOU GOTTA SAVE MANUALLY EVERYTIME YOU GET TO A NEW LOCATION, because if you died you may easily lose 1 hour or more in progression, the bugs ohhhh boyyy it could make the game easily 9/10 but many visual and game breaking bugs that may take you out from the adventurous atmosphere, most of the games achievements are achievable throughout your play through so you may get most of them if you do all the side missions, the most grindy ones are the fishing one and buying skins of hero from the black marks currency which u get from fishes and some items you sell to the black marks market, when you level up the random encounters in old locations stopped because enemies start run away from you, you could still fight them if you insist, i beat the game in the hardest difficulty but still it feel like normal in other games, it wasn't challenging enough, the game was so hard in the early game but the more you proceed the less it became challenging, my first encounters till mid game was so hard that it made the final bosses fight as a joke, items and leveling up from normal walk-through with side quests make you op, anyway if you like these games and also like League of Legends universe it's worth to buy it in discount.

Disfruton y sencillo de completar los logros. Recomendado sobre todo por el lore.
To answer the question of "Do you need to know LoL to enjoy this?" The answer is no. I have minimal knowledge of it, mostly from cultural osmosis and Arcane, and enjoyed it. I feel I got enough contextual stuff from the game to know the stuff that is needed to follow it and know what is going on. The reasons I got this is overall enjoyment of Turn-Based RPGs, Joe Maduriea's art, and other games made by this studio, including what I played of Battle Chasers. That all out of the way, I found the game fully enjoyable (though I admit I did not dive much into the enchantment stuff as it felt kind of overwhelming plus my hoarding tendencies in games). But I will addd some aspects of it felt frustrating like how sometimes, mostly early on, you would get side quests given to you way too early, whether it would point you to areas with enemies higher levels than you can handle at the moment (like one mission pointed me to an area with level 11 enemies while level 6) or the end point of it being much later in the game (like a bounty involving a fetch quest where the end point of it is in a near endgame area and the enemy is level 24 enemy given to you at around level 14. There was even a mission where I stumbled upon the trigger of it before the flag for the mission npc wouldn't even talk to me about the mission until I did the next story quest. Add to that some things being unclear as to where to go at times or the icons on the map not clearing properly until you go to another area or the state of which seemingly resetting but actually completed still. It is pretty easy to get certain characters pretty busted with the right loadouts and equipment though. There was one point where for a while I was killing things pretty quickly with Yasuo because I opened a secret area and got a couple items that really boosted his damage. As time went on Fortune could outclass him but if he could get a crit attack to go off he could still outdamage even her at times. So basically in the end I would recommend this game, but only if you can get it on sale, which seems to be rare because of Riot pretty much ignoring the existence of a lot of the stuff from the Riot Forge initiative because of its percieved "failures". In fact I would blame the fact that most of the aforementioned issues I brought up being due to the allowed dev time, conditions, and budget Airship probably got from Riot and the fact that a lot of the bugs that still exist because Riot didn't want to allocate more time and budget to what little post-launch support it did manage to get. There are better Turn Based RPGS, but there are many far worse ones as well.
Very cool game, made me feel nostalgic and wishing to play Warcraft 3 again because of it's style. I hope atleast some of the interactions/lore will stay canon when Riot releases the mmo.
I found this to be an absolute hidden gem of a game. It's a pretty engaging and interesting turn based RPG, and you could even enjoy the story without knowing anything about League. And if you do, you can tell they put a lot of care into making this game. The story, the character interactions, the way League Champion skills are translated into RPG, etc... You can tell they cared about the source material. If this game had come out like 10 years ago when I was still invested in League characters this game would have become one of my favorites. I also expected Ahri to be basically a guest character like "Hey I'm here too" and have no relevance, given this is Bilgewater/Shadow Isles, but she actually gets the spotlight a lot. A shame that the company didn't give a damn about the game and barely promoted it: I've never heard of anyone talk about it. I thought it'd be one of those "The game is meh, only play if you're a big fan of the franchise." but no, I think this game is excellent. It's true there are a lot of combat encounters, but I've played a lot of RPGs with a lot of combat encounters. It's par for the course.
what a game all i can say i thought i would not spend this time on the game i spent 48 hours and still happy finished it 9 or 10 i rate it
como se não bastasse a Riot foi lá e fez um jogo que dá de 10 a 0 no lol (o que não é muito difícil) e está inserido em um gênero de games que eu curto bastante. quanto mais tempo jogava mais me apaixonava por esse RPG espetacular.
Enjoyed the story. Combat was engaging and varied, although at times even on veteran I found it a bit too easy. There's a fair bit of customization for each character, allowing for unique playstyles and team combinations. If you're into the whole League of Legends and Runeterra universe, there's A LOT of lore in this game which is pretty cool. Also, I found the setting very well crafted. There was obviously a lot of attention to detail put in to level design. Voice actors were also great. I also have to say I haven't had a single crash in my entire playthrough, so kudos to the devs. That being said, I have some gripes with the game. Getting from point A to point B takes FOREVER in this game. By the end, I basically knew the layout of every map like the palm of my hand because I had spent HOURS running around like a headless chicken, trying to complete sidequests. Running speed needs to be faster or every visited location needs to have some sort of fast travel option. The existing ones are NOT enough. Also, why can't I have the map open, but transparent (like in Diablo) when I'm running? Having to stop then readjust just to look at the map every time kinda felt like a pretty standard feature that was missing in the game. I don't see why I have to have a 3 stack of champions whilst exploring, making things like "Pyke's dive sequences" or "Braum's Poro sequences" and so on, feel like a drag when you spot them and don't have the specific champion in your party. Almost every in-game dialogue cutscene has all 6 champions jumping in to join the conversation, implying that they are travelling together, but when I have a nice hidden champion specific area I find, I have to run back to a checkpoint and re-arrange my party roster?? It's just inconvenience for inconvenience-sake. Fishing minigame. It's fine, I guess. What I found annoying was that the lure would reel in too slow making it kinda boring. Also, the amount of fish in an area could imo be cut in half. I get that fishing is supposed to be a relaxing pause from the action but when you're trying to catch a treasure "fish" and it's flapping around like an adhd kid on adderall, it feels like anything but. A lot of UI issues while playing on PC. For example, I was looking for revive potions during battle, which I knew were in my inventory, but wasn't able to find them by normally scrolling. Apparently, this was a known issue and I was supposed to search through my potions by using the A and D keys (??!). Also, I would find myself VERY often hovering over an enemy with the mouse, but the cast ability would go to a completely different enemy my mouse was NOWHERE NEAR. Very annoying. Also, there seems to be some animation issues especially for the ultimates. I noticed that Miss Fortune's 3rd ultimate looks like she should be standing on a ship and cannons firing from the broadside, but the ship was invisible for me for some reason (?) I have no idea how other champions ults are supposed to look, but that one was glaringly missing textures. I was running the game on max setting so... no idea? I also found the dialogue kind of boring tbh. Most of the characters went on and on and on about the same problems they have. Ahri and Yasuo's constant whining about their past, Illaoi and her tentacle mommy problems, Miss Fortune and her "I HATE EVERYTHING GANGPLANK" attitude, Pyke and THE DEEEEEP... It kind of got too predictable and repetitive. Braum was the one stealing the show for me. Everyone else felt very one-dimensional. I have a drinking game for you (warning, you WILL die): Take a sip every time you hear Pyke say "the Deep", Illaoi say "motion", Yasuo say "the wind" and Ahri say "my ancestors". TLDR: Pros: Good story and characters, good+ gameplay, amazing setting and immersion. Cons: Cheesy dialogue, lacking QOL features, UI issues for PC. Overall: Worth your money, a good 30-40 hour story in the LoL universe. I would recommend it.
It takes about 10 hours plowing through the story for the game to be good. And then it actually is fun! Once the full cast is unlocked and the battles are more dynamic (and more frequent with little downtime in between) the game is in full swing. The bits of lore you get from all the characters through the story itself is great. There is SO much bloat in the over world. If you try to read everything (especially in those first 10 hours) I can see so many people just giving up. It feels like a trial for what Riot wants to do with an MMO. If there were substantial side quests that dealt with other Bilgewater champs (maybe follow around Graves/TF) I would be more compelled, but the vast majority is just game bloat. Over world traversing feels horrible. It just is so slow. Even if you have the run toggle on... Game also feels unitutitive. Oh I can go into inspection mode with Q, but I cant just Q again to get out of it? I can apply a rune with either clicking it or E, but to remove it I can only press E? Some visual bugs in inspection mode made it pretty difficult to tell what was happening sometimes. Instead of my character portrait as Pyke, sometimes it was replaced with the hazard logo... My go-to team ended up being Pyke/Ahri/Illaoi. I liked using Braum in some scenarios too. Dont have too many issues with the cast besides Yasuo. Idk if they really had no idea at the time the plan to release Yone, but everything with him felt so separated. We already had the heart of the group in Braum (and he is you know a pretty intuitive tank) so why did we need another one of the playable characters to not have anything to do with the region Illaoi is the real MC of the game which is a delight Some of the bosses were pretty memorable (Gangplank was disappointing - barrel chains could have been tied into the lanes somehow instead of just being a big attack) with respect being given to a lot of the champs.
