Rugby 25

I'm so glad i got this so heavily discounted, or i would of refunded. Simple things, The commentators don't even say the players names, Which is pure lazy on the designers behalf. Crowds don't even have the team colours on. whilst these aren't game breaking, with such a simple game these things matter for the enjoyment. We so need a decent rugby game, was hoping this would be it, but it seems to be getting worse.

I do know that everyone hates this game for bugs, not fun exc but i honestly think this game is worth it. I mean you get what you buy most of the time like good graphics up to date players and a good carer mode. but the bugs are quite off putting, the most common one what ive seen is the props kicking normaly after a subsutution but other than that the games pretty damn good

Buenas! Como ex jugador de rugby de 1ra, me parece que el juego está bueno, ya solo por existir. Me parece una excelente forma de volver a conectar con el deporte, aunque sea atrás de una pantalla y con un joystick. Me re copa la personalización de clubes y jugadores/as, me gusta la diversidad de torneos que tiene disponibles y los jugadores están, en términos de estadísticas, muy bien logrados. Oportunidades de mejora: *Modo entrenamiento. Por favor. Es re difícil agarrarle la mano a los controles, más si venís de jugar puro jueguito de tiros/ estrategia por turnos/RTS como yo. Están buenos los tutoriales, pero son bastante específicos y acotados. Me gustaría que se pudiese simular un entrenamiento entre los jugadores de tu mismo equipo. *Modo carrera: incluir equipos personalizados. O sea, me das la chance de crear un equipo, pero no puedo verlo crecer ni jugar en torneos oficiales. Ahí la manquearon fuerte. Estaría bueno que vean el Rugby Natios 24, de android, porque lo hacen muy bien a eso. Vos te creas un equipo y te da un set de jugaores re mancos, pero que, a medida que vas ganando y avanzando, te permite mejorarlos o cambiarlos por mejores. Eso estaría bueno que lo agreguen, entonces, te haces un equipo medio manco, con esos NPCs truchellis, y lo complementas con alguno (o los 23 si tenés ganas) de los PJs creados por vos. Empezás jugando a nivel regional (ahí también hay otro tema, no hay ningún equipo de Argentina más allá de Los Pumas, por lo menos metan a Capibara XV, Pampas, Dogos, algo), y después pasas a jugar a nivel nacional/o algo tipo plurinacional, pero de equipos medio pelo, como es el Super Rugby Américas, de ahí a torneo internacional, y de ahí podés llegar a meter jugadores en la selección del país donde empezaste y vas al Mundial. *CPU demasiado experta. Eso, es muy bueno el CPU, hasta en dificultad Fácil. Nunca erra una patada, te comen en los rucks, ganan todos los scrums. Fácil termina siendo difícil, al menos para jugadores novatos, que no tienen mucha práctica con joystick y éste tipo de juegos. En fin, gracias por el juego, y espero que siga mejorando y creciendo, le tengo mucha fe y me pone muy contento que lo hayan hecho!!!

Before last update(?)this was fun after learning how it works. Now its totally unplayable. I dont know how tehy done it, but rucks are now impossible defend or won(especially against bots). When you play PvP almost every ruck ends "hands in ruck", even if no player was close to "ruck". Scrums dont matter at all, there is no real way to win ball from opponent throw in, if you have ball and try to gain something from scrum, for longer time than 2-3 "turns", your scrum will collapse, even if you do everything as good as it is possible. I didnt find any was to get penalized as side without a ball. During open play random passes will be totally off and you cannot take the ball from field, only opponent can. Obviously it doesnt happen for higher level AI. And for last player in defence dont hold line but run 20 metere deeper than they should and then comeback in attacking formation. Especially during rucks. This before update didnt happen

*Biased opinion for being in the game* Short and sweet, I was super hyped for this game to come out, and then utterly devastated by the reviews I was hearing. Only recently did I actually get to play this game and bought it on a steep discount steam was running thinking, well if it is unplayable, at least its memorabilia. However, perhaps because I was expecting such a terrible game, I was pleasently surprised by what I found. Yes, its pretty basic and defence feels pretty bad. I am mostly letting AI tackle and then mashing buttons to try and win a ruck. It definitely isn't at pace so it has its own intuition to learn if you might break a ruck or not. Scrumming is almost a simple rhythm game on timing, so different but not bad. I guess to me it feels very basic, but has a lot of teams and its fun to see them out there. Pros: Team choices, its fun to score and get off good passes. Rugby silliness with friends. Got on sale under 20€ Cons: Tackling, player swapping, and stealing are very much guesswork to me. High original price point. Requires controller. It isnt a very good game, but isnt very bad either and its alright for what I'll play it for, and thats a laugh with mates.

If you love rugby and want to play some casual rugby matches this is a great game. I find it sad that there aren't more fully fletched out rugby games but this game stil hits the spot :) (It isn't perfect and needs work tho)

Don't get me wrong, the game isnt perfect. But it isn't nearly as bad as the reviews say. I have played a few matches and I can honestly say it is enjoyable. The game feels "loose" sometimes but it can be looked past. Would recommend especially if on discount. The fact that teams receive their new kits each season on the game is also a huge bonus for me.
