About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

Reviews
Was it worth waiting more than a decade for? I think yes. Especially considering how photo-realistic it is now, and how that couldn't have happened so long ago. Great sound design, great atmosphere in general. Sometimes a tad confusing as to what to do next, as is the case with these types of games, but overall fantastic, and I highly recommend it
Mind blown. Retina ripped. Pants soiled. A masterclass in environmental storytelling wrapped in an atmosphere cold, dark & tense crafted with love and passion. Exceptional experience.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolute cinema
I literally saw the trailer for this 13 years ago on YouTube. Picked it up randomly in a Steam sale recently, and only realized after starting it that it was that exact game. And man, it totally delivered. It's so hard to compare this to anything else, but honestly, I'd put it on the same level as Dead Space 1, maybe even slightly above it. The story is huge, the atmosphere is 10/10, and the sound design is absolutely incredible! That 90s retro-tech vibe on a moon base just hits perfectly. I haven't been this tense playing a game in a long time. Huge props to the devs for sticking with it all these years and actually pulling it off. The only real flaw this game has is the black. Since most of the game is extremely dark, the black looks washed out and gray, which is especially noticeable if you're playing on an OLED monitor. After about an hour into the game, that gray darkness really started to annoy me. Luckily, there is a mod that completely fixes this. Once I installed it, the game looked amazing, all without ruining the intended VHS/tape filter. 100% recommend.
This game is simply amazing. I was initially interested in the style of the game, and I have to say that the game looks amazing. What's more important is the amount of times I had to put down the game, because I was simply too scared to continue, it took me a whole week to finish this game, but it was so worth it. This is a beautifully terrifying game. 9/10 would recommend.
Moon's pregnant
kesinlikle tavsiye ederim diğer korku/gerilim oyunları gibi ezbere yapılmış bir oyun değil özellikle deadspace seven biriyseniz oyunun atmosferi hoşunuza gidecektir
Immaculate art design wrapped up in some solid encounter-based horror. Short, but packed with variety. The game also features a story,
blah blah blah Spoiler text blah blah blah who the ♥♥♥♥ cares
.
Unsure how I fully feel after the ending. Beautiful story telling regardless, but just wish we had more answers, as the developers did amazing at avoiding plot holes. Def worth a play!
I don't really play horror games, like at ALL so take what I say with a grain of salt. ROUTINE was extremely engaging from start to finish and, purely from a game design perspective, is ingenious in its use of atmosphere. Both sound design and aesthetic worked extremely well to literally never make me feel safe, even in the few safe areas there are. The moments that one expects to really get you, really DO get you in very dread inducing ways. Personally, a later scare instilled in me such a primal fear that I had to get off for the night. I know people harp on the puzzles because there's next to no help outside of one or two leading notes and majorly, visual storytelling, but it's perfectly welcome to me and nothing was so obtuse that it was irritating, unless I myself had simply overlooked something entirely. Regarding the story, its perfectly serviceable and then actually very intriguing. I won't say much but
I LOVE any space story where the events that unfold can just be chalked up to awful cosmic fate, it's so cool.
Worth the 25 bucks, but if it's on sale, definitely grab it.
