About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

This is NOT like other horror games. - Immersion = 100% - Original concept - Jump scares are not predictable - Design is beautiful - Liminal atmosphere - Lighting is insane and also operates as a directional queue - No HUD was genius - Puzzles are creative - Movement is intuitive and unique - Soundtrack is shockingly adept Honestly, the game was absolutely fantastic. It was a joy to play. It was terrifying while offering an interesting story. It was original and the graphics are mind blowing. This game does not hold your hand step-by-step. You actually have to think and that is REFRESHING. I am shocked that I haven't heard about this game before I played it because it's top tier. Worth every single penny.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has very fun moment-to-moment gameplay. It's beautifully polished and has some of the best audio design I've heard in a game. If it's on sale, you should buy and play it. The issue is that it's just *fine* for mechanics. There's not much depth to each one. You get a module for your CAT, use it a few times, then stop using it when you get your next shiny new module. I really hoped that I would find myself fumbling with the buttons on the CAT in a moment of stress, but it just never happened because you only use one per area essentially. I was also thrilled by the invisible enemy at first, but then it started to just appear in normal eyesight. I don't know if that was a bug or intended, but being able to see it without the CAT completely destroyed the fear factor for me. There was at least one scare leading away from the drained basin that got a good scream out of me though. If having the entity be visible in normal eyesight was intended, it would have kept things much more tense had those moments only been the very few scripted jump scares like that. Finally the ending - though I kinda expected something like this going in - was basically just a trippy hallucination with no interesting twist or insight. Once you get your first task in the Ward and see the moldy corpse near the bathroom, you essentially know what the ending is already. I was hoping there would be some more clearly defined time travel shenanigans at the end as was teased a bit, but nope. It seems to just be to become the substrate for a psychic mold on the moon. This is one of those games that makes me wish Steam didn't have a YES/NO rating system for reviews. It is a good game while playing, but it left me cold at the end. It has beautiful tension and some really tasteful jump scares, but I got no catharsis from it. If you find an easy opportunity to play it, you should.
Pros -Great atmosphere and lighting, graphics is impressive too -Immersive Sound design -Minimalistic UI that blends in with the game -Rewarding but not overly difficult puzzles Cons -Enemies was a slight let down, barely any combat/chase sequence (except a few scripted scene) -Lackluster story that feels unfinished/unsatisfactory -Too much meaningless backtracking without chase sequence toned down the emergency and otherwise great atmosphere the game created
A SCIENCE FICTION ART
One hell of a game! Atmospheric, and the puzzles are a good challenge. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of this! 10/10
Insanely immersive. Amazing sound design. The atmosphere is simply unsettling and eerie. I loved it, wish it was longer.
Wonderfully narrated and the puzzle solving is very fun to interact with. I personally love the world the developers built, and the enemies were well designed. I can't wait to see what the developers come up with next.
I shidded.
