About
The world has fallen into chaos, and it’s up to you and your friends to battle the corrupted beasts that threaten your home. Choose your weapon, upgrade your gear, sharpen your skills, and get ready to take on the frenzied foes of Rotwood!
Surviving Rotwood is no easy task. You’ll need practice, strategy, and refined combat skills to tackle the game’s toughest encounters.
Featuring rich and varied combat mechanics, play solo or co-op with up to three friends, fighting increasingly challenging encounters as you battle your way through 8 unique locations.
Rotwood focuses on combat mastery and gear progression to defeat enemies that you once thought impossible.
Pick your target carefully and sharpen your skills as you face increasingly difficult encounters. Battle your way through deceptively vicious rots in search of your true foe, a powerful, corrupted boss battle that will put your abilities to the test.
Experiment with various gear combinations and refine and perfect your build to best make use of these strange powers. However, true success comes from skill, adaptability, and strategy.
Button mashing and decent gear will only get you so far. Practice and perfect combo attacks for each weapon type to reach your destructive potential. Discover and upgrade different weapons and armor to further enhance your combat effectiveness.
Master a variety of weapons or specialize in the one that suits you best. Each weapon type offers its own distinct combat style and benefits. Get in close to smash, slam, pierce, or hang back and blast your foes from a distance.
Boss fights are not just a test of strength but also a test of skill. Each boss has unique attack patterns and mechanics, requiring careful analysis of their weaknesses and precise mastery of your weapons to tackle Rotwood's toughest foes. Victory grants you unique loot required to face ever-increasing challenges as you progress through the game!
While every run offers different powers and abilities, progression is built on skill and mastery rather than randomness. Through practice and proficiency, you’ll learn to take down increasingly formidable foes more effectively with greater efficiency and precision.
The challenges ahead may be unpredictable, but your fate is not. While Rotwood has elements of randomness, true mastery comes from skill, adaptability, and precise execution, not luck.

两年没拉完的石突然拉了出来,又臭又硬
居然还没有更新!唉 明明很好玩的游戏
The game's grinding features get boring and overwhelming over time... because every version of the weapons and the armors feels similar not exactly change that much the way you play. Moreover, why do we have to play for materials to upgrade stuff by *levels* while this is a rougelite type of game?

Graphics aside this is mid unfortunately.
I would rate this 9/10 because I like the gameplay, the giving gifts, and the corestone use. I like playing solo because I can choose the room I'm going into myself without other people deciding for me. But I feel it is way easier with other players so I usually play with someone else. Then there are the Solo Her/Him masteries which I feel is almost impossible for me. I like the revive because you get another chance. I like the combat with spear because I get a long-range weapon that has an interesting special move. Specifically the late game Snarling Spear because the B skill is O.P. but I think it is really fluid and incredible. I also like heart shards because it feels like a little side quest. I like the corestones because I feel that I get closer to upgrading my weapons every run. All in all, that is why I'm rating Rotwood 9/10.
一年半了 内容还是很少
Been playing this as a couch Co-op game since pre-release. I have enjoyed coming back to new content over the year(s?). I do think it lacks a little depth for me, but my partner likes games to stay a little more simple than I do. The combat is fairly well done but I can't help to feel like I'm playing in pudding sometimes. I just feel like I'm telling the character what to do, and they have to think about it for a second before actually doing it. Compared to something like Hades, the combat just feels a little slow and muddy. I'd still recommend the game for anyone looking for something to play with others in the same room. It's not as good as Ember Knights, but it's still fun and worth probably $14.99. I wouldn't buy it at full price though.
I really don't get the hate for this game. Been playing for 7h total, a few each day and I'm having a blast. The gameplay is extremely fluid and very much skill based, there's tons of variety in enemy design and bosses so far and also your build options are great. The weapons are really cool and each has a very unique playstyle that rely on a gimmick (you deal more damage if you use the tip of the spear, or if you release to bow on time etc) and combos. It's not a super difficult game (yet) and there is a bit of grinding to be done (challenges etc), but playing solo seems perfectly fine so far. I can only imagine it's even more fun in co-op. I hope they add more weapons and bosses down the line, but so far I'm really happy with what I got (tho I did buy it at the EA discount price).
我觉得,这个游戏还需要更新。
画风不错,内容无趣,在库里躺了一年都没有打开游玩的动力
