In an attempt to elude the cult that's been chasing him, former Miami detective Lazarus “Lars” Bundy is in Italy working incognito for a security agency when his client is murdered in cold blood by a sharpshooter. As the blood stain slowly spreads on the victim's clothes, Lars realizes there is only one way to keep his past from catching up with him: solve the case before the police and bring the perpetrator to justice as quickly and silently as possible.
A senseless murder, conflicting clues and an indistinct lead will thrust the former detective on another thrilling journey around the world, from majestic Rome to the Land of the Rising Sun by way of Jordan and India. With help from an old ally he thought he’d left behind for good, Lars finds himself swept up in a case far more complex and dangerous than he ever could have imagined, filled with international mystery and mysticism. And all the while, a much more personal danger lurks close at hand, one that Lars is determined to suppress and keep hidden from the world.

In the beginning of the game, Lars keeps wondering what he could have done to blow his cover. Meanwhile, he's standing there in the same red scarf and gloves that he wore in the first game. Only this time he's added an even more ridiculous top hat. Every person he meets comments on his fashion choices. He couldn't be more conspicuous if he yelled out his name and address to everyone he saw. Oh and he chose to "hide out" as a tour guide in the center of Rome. His clients are people who like to take pictures. Then there's his favorite cafe near the most visited tourist site in Italy. I'm not sure if the developers were being funny with this or not. But it's still hilarious.
Non sono mai stato un grande appassionato di avventure grafiche ma spinto dalla curiosità e da un consiglio di un amico, ho voluto dare una chance a questo gioco. Ci ho giocato circa 4 ore per il momento e devo dire che mi sta piacendo davvero molto. La storia ti cattura fin da subito quasi come una serie tv. Gli enigmi sono logici, stimolanti ma mai impossibili, il che rende l'esperienza scorrevole e godibile anche per chi di solito non ha molta pazienza con questo tipo di giochi tipo il sottoscritto. Se cercate una bella storia in cui immergervi, dategli una possibilità. Sta convincendo persino me.

Non vedevo l'ora che uscisse Roots in the Sky - The Hand of Glory 2. Avevo amato tantissimo il primo capitolo e il finale mi aveva lasciato una curiosità enorme sul prosieguo della storia. Questo seguito non ha deluso minimamente. La qualità della grafica e dei disegni è migliorata in modo evidente e gli scenari sono curatissimi e piacevoli da esplorare. La storia è avvincente dall'inizio alla fine, sostenuta da una scrittura dei dialoghi ottima e da un umorismo che funziona alla grande. Lo consiglio senza esitazioni a chiunque abbia amato il primo capitolo...e ora non vedo l'ora di un altro seguito!

I am a 3PP P&C adventurer so this game is right up my street. I thoroughly enjoyed Hand of Glory so was really looking forward to this one. In the main it did not disappoint. It took me around 26 hours to play but I do explore everything and enjoy taking my time. Criticisms would be that the characters are a bit slow at times, some of the puzzles are a bit frustrating and trying using the inventory was a little inconsistent, when use of an item is not compatible. However, overall, this is great game of this genre and I would recommend it highly.

ENG We gained access to the game after backing the project on kickstarter, and it did not disappoint. Having loved the first chapter, The Hand of Glory, we did not expect anything less from Madit Games and Daring Touch. Puzzles felt challenging at times, but fair, the story as always was top notch, and every character felt enjoyable and memorable. The soundtrack and graphics were very enjoyable too, the latter especially improved since the first chapter. Congrats again to all the team members, and Stefano in particular, we can`t wait to see how the story will unfold in the future. Dopo aver amato il primo capitolo, The Hand of Glory, non potevamo aspettarci niente di meglio da Madit Games e Daring Touch. Enigmi giusti e non banali, storia come sempre curata e accattivante e personaggi che restano davvero nel cuore. Abbiamo amato i puzzle interattivi, che sanno dare un'interattività ben fatta. Un plauso anche alla colonna sonora e alla grafica, quest'ultima molto migliorata rispetto al capitolo precedente.
