Cons: Little feeling of presence. The cart does not react to it's own motion. Sound effect of cart is inconsistant and disconnected from track. Speed unrelated to track layout. On close inspection object geometry very simple and boxy. Only one track. Little replay value. Motion sickness inducing. Pros: Great choice of theme. Track is quite long. Some nice scenery. Head lamp is a nice touch. Sound track is quite good. I'd give it about a 65%.
Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro
🎢 Greek Mythology Ride to the Temple of Poseidon 🌬️ River Styx 💀 Tartarus 🐂 See the depths Hades ♨️ 8 Minutes of Good Immersion ✔️ Graphics and Sounds are Great ✔️ Excellent Track Layout, low level VR sickness 🤢 ✔️ Rode coaster standing up and felt real to me 🙃 ❌ Not sure it's worth $4.99 https://youtu.be/dR8zKJJWvxM
I played already some VR rollercoasters, but this one the best of them. This game has one long rollercoaster which brings you at diffirent levels. The dev did his best with this game. https://youtu.be/ARepDQkIr9M
Oculus Touch Gameplay: https://youtu.be/UXSzc3BE1U0 RollerCoaster Legends is a VR roller-coaster experience, with a Greek mythology theme. Gameplay involves riding a rollercoaster through the Temple of Poseidon, the River Styx, Tartarus, and the Palace of Hades. You also encounter icons from Greek mythology including the Minotaur, Kronos, Charon, and Hades whilst in these environments. The environments are very immersive, but I do think the sound effects of the track/cart could be improved slightly, and I would have liked the track to be a continuous feature of the game, to make the experience even more immersive. The environments are immersive though and simultaneously visually stunning. I found the experience enjoyable and unique, and therefore recommend this game. Gameplay is short, lasting around ten minutes, but the experience is fun and unlike any other VR roller-coaster I have yet to experience. (Also, I was happy to find that I did not experience any motion-sickness.)
Pretty good coaster for the price. One of the better cheap ones. Would of been a little better if it lasted a little longer but I can live with that. Seemed a little odd not seeing tracks on the floor in the later stages of the ride but again, can live with that. Was expecting the ride to go faster as you went down the vertical drops but it didn't. If the devs tweaked that a little it would be an improvement. All in all I would recommend in its current state, but if the devs extended the ride of tweaked a few things I would give a big thumbs up.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift
If you love rollercoasters in VR, then this is a must buy. It is one of the best VR rollercoaster rides. I would personally put it in my top 3 rides all time in VR. I understand it is pricey for a VR rollercoaster ride, but I think it is worth it. This is a 8-9 minute ride with all kinds of sites along the way. It's difficult to describe, other than a scenic ride with obviously a Greek mythology flair. It's more about the scenery than about the actual ride itself. This isn't going for mega twists or turns, it's not that kind of ride. Just amazing visuals and sounds throughout. Very creative. Perfect for introducing newbies to VR rollercoasters! Rating 8/10.
Yea, not worth the $5. Its cool, but super short. I would spend $2 on this? Maybe $3? But $5 is to much for its length.
Hard to recomend this if you're looking for realistic VR rollercoaster because there's portions of this you're not even on the track, I know it's fantasy, but taking that into account as well, this isn't great. It all starts out promising, rolling through the tunnel which I liked, then things tend to go pear shaped. Things get worse once you've been flung from the track to the water, dull environment for the water area and areas around it. You start going through the corridors of a building, there's no track on the ground which breaks any notion you're supposed to be on a rollercoaster, and just how does a cart go up steps without a track smoothly??? The highlight of all this ride is the ending and that big thing, i don't want to give away what it is, but if the rest of the game had that sort of thing in it then it would have been ok, that was just one brief section, the rest of it apart from the start was rubbish. Refunded.
Echt gut gemacht für 5 Euro geht ca. 10 min kann ich empfehlen Liebe Grüße HundelungeVR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nwaQmUYvyM
There isn't much to it. Unspectacular, and the off-track section is just boring.
