Owyn's Adventure

할아버지를 데리러오기 위한 짧은 심부름. 낮은 해상도의 그래픽과 기계음에 가까운 사운드, 조금은 불편하면서도 미묘한 조작감, 짧고 단순한 게임플레이까지. 모든 면에서 게임보이(GB) 시절의 느낌을 그대로 재현해낸 플랫포머 게임이다. 20분에서 30분 정도면 엔딩을 볼 수 있을 정도로 대단히 짧은 게임이고 게임의 난이도 역시 쉬운 편에 가깝다. 가볍게 엔딩 한 번 보고 치울 게임이며 도전과제를 감안해도 1시간을 채 못 넘길 게임이다. 딱히 강조할 만한 부분 없이 그냥저냥 재밌게 즐길 수 있을 게임이다. 사소한 문제점을 하나 언급하자면, 오윈의 이동속도에 빠르게 가속도가 붙는데 종종 이게 지나쳐 점프 조작이 제대로 안 될 때가 종종 있다. 그리고 검의 피격판정이 미묘하게 좁다. 어차피 게임보이 감성을 살린 게임이었고 그 시절 게임들이 공통적으로 지니고 있던 문제점이니만큼 크게 짚고 넘어갈 부분은 아니다. 게임보이 시절 게임이 어떻게 생겼는지 궁금한 이들에게 추천할 만한 게임. P.S! 스팀 상점에는 출시일이 2018.12.14일이라고 적혀있는데, 실제 이 게임의 스팀 출시일은 2019.04.04로 봐야 맞다. 아마 스팀 상점 시스템 상의 오류인듯. https://blog.naver.com/kitpage/221514327029

Super-short and pleasant platformer. While it was fun enough for my pre-work Morning Tea Series -- its simplicity, in fact, was perfect for it -- [i]Owyn's[/i] roughness discourages me from going back for all achievements. This is something I usually do with nano-length games. I have a few criticisms, but only to help the developer of this very new game; I'm sure these are things that can be easily fixed. The way the screen creeps to re-center Owyn after he stops moving is a little disconcerting. Doors should not be one-way only. Jumping is unresponsive on slopes. But . . . two bucks? Nice for the price. No regrets here.

Es la hora de cenar y el abuelo se ha perdido, lo habrán secuestrado? habrá ido a jugar al bar una partida de dominó? Con lo que gusta comer es raro que no esté en casa a la hora de la cena. Como buen nieto, vamos a buscarlo a través de varios niveles en 2d. Un juego sencillo, que os costará poco más de 30 minutos en acabarlo. Plataformeo puro y duro con gráficos de gameboy. Entretenido y con coleccionables que nos desbloquearán otro final. Algún que otro puzzle y enemigos que no nos supondrán ningún problema. Si lo encontráis muy barato es buena compra.

A really fun but awfully short puzzle platformer. The difficulty level was just right for me as I'm not a fan of difficult games. I definitely recommend getting this game. It has all the elements of an old school platformer. All that green is a little off putting though. The colors are just boring. Looking forward to a sequel with more colors, more baddies, more bosses, more weapons, more secrets, more puzzles and far more levels.

Okay, I'll keep this review as short as the game. Owyn's adventure is an A to B platformer with one set of hidden collectibles done up in a GameBoy-esque style. Esque, mind you, to someone who played quite a lot of GB games, the backgrounds do feel a little limited compared to what the GB could pull off. Controls are good, music's okay and the enemies aren't badly designed. Nor the one boss. Its a short game and you cannot go back once you pass a point in each area, sooo.... If you miss out on a trainset-part, better luck next playthrough. You'll be done in 30-40 minutes, but at this price? Ehhh..... Worth it I'd say.

The achievements are hidden which is fun. The game is cool, but very short...

A short but sweet platformer with very light puzzle elements, [i]Owyn's Adventure[/i] took me half an hour to finish (although it would've been less than that if I'd been more careful). It's not particularly complex nor challenging, but the charming Game Boy aesthetic and upbeat chiptune make it enjoyable throughout.

Fun little platformer that harkens back to the GameBoy both in style and soundtrack. A nice and simple, albeit short, experience that I'd recommend to anyone hoping for a quick blast to the past.
