This one lost my interest very rapidly. When you start out it seems decent enough. The graphics are simple but work, the pacing feels nice, and the difficulty is about where you would want it to be. But there is just -ZERO- meat on the bones of this game. The framework is all it has. You dont get anything transformative like new powers or abilities, you dont get items with interesting effects, and from what I've seen literally every weapon and armor piece is just alterations on stats. This could change if you make it further in the game, but everything I've seen indicates this as being the case. The only items with effects are trinkets, and they are minor effects. There is also a very bad bug that exists (for me at least) that if you alt+tab the frame rate cuts in half and starts to severely stutter. The only way I was able to resolve it is close the game and re-open. This bug made the game close to unplayable simply from alt+tabbing. There is no reason to ever play this game, it has nothing to offer in a world where good rogue-likes are a dime-a-dozen.
Definitley one of the better Indie games I've played. Should say ahead of time I'm not a Kickstarter backer just found this game browsing through Steam. There are a lot of things I enjoy about this game, i'll get into that below. What I like: -Progression. While it's still in an early state the progession system isn't bad. Each dungeon level you get treasure, which you can in turn open back at the Hub. The items you get from them range from gems to empower your weapons, armour, dye, and weapons. You definitley see yourself powering up overtime atleast early in the game. -The Art style. Love the graphics and how the game looks and feels. -Soundtrack. Honestly love the music. -The bosses. Each boss has several mechanics to watch out for. Feels like Zelda boss fights, and it's fun to see yourself figure out the mechanics of a boss after fighting it a few times. -Loot/Customization. Love the customization in this game. There are a ton of Dyes to collect, multiple armour sets, and quite a few weapons. -Gem. There's acutally a reason to clear every room in each dungeon. You gain "souls" which you use to purchase upgrades for your weapon every run. What I dislike: -After a while when the progression slows down it feels a bit grindy and repetitive. I don't personally have an issue with this but it is an issue nontheless. -I honestly dislike the Charger enemy type. Super annoying and tedious to fight, but I guess what is a game if there arent any challenges. -Keyboard/Mouse support isn't fantastic. Would definitley like to see you be able to rebind the keys. What I would like to see: -Armour giving stats. This could add for build variation not just through the weapon. Pretty sure it said in the Kickstarter sets would give bonuses when the full set is equipped but i have yet to notice that even with a full set. -Able to switch keybindings for keyboard/mouse. Honestly the game has a good solid core expirence that just needs to be extended upon. Obviously the game needs additional content down the road, but I have confidence the Devs will deliver and make this a fantastic little game.
First things first: I am a Kickstarter backer who receive a copy to test pre-Early Access. For me the best parts of the game are: -Micro-Progression: enemies gain little variations which add to the challenge but don't feel unfamiliar as you yourself activate your slotted gems. You still feel more powerful as you get deeper into the run but the enemies stay a threat. -Solid Combat: Its just fun to kill stuff with the abilities you have. - Weapon and Build Variety: Gem and Rune combinations can give you a ton of different and unique-feeling ways to play the game. (this is my favorite part of the entire game) -Armor skins and dyes: I think there are only 4 armor sets right now but there are a TON of dye colors. Add three colors per armor slot, you can make yourself look pretty dank. -Stability: I've only crashed once in all my time playing and its because I left the game paused and tabbed out for a long ass time. Cons: -Soundtrack: Some levels have music, some don't. I'm assuming it will be added down the road. --Some sound effects aren't intuitive(metal clang when attacking a slime goob), some are missing(teleport/teleport placement). -Exiting Game: about 40% of the time the game will post a little windows popup-- "Rogues Like Us has stopped responding" --kind of a non-issue since you're closing the game anyway, but thought I'd mention it. Concerns new players might have: -Weapons: it might feel slow going at first, but just wait until you get your first Rare(blue) weapon in a loot crate, they are much better than the starter weapons (and should be). --I got my first blue weapon after my second run through i think? Doesn't take very long. -Content: Its early access, so there is currently 5 dungeon levels to play through. Imo this is plenty for now bc I am having a good time just experimenting with new builds all the time, but for those who want more there is plenty coming (source: oddByte livestream). Overall I would definitely recommend this game. It is very a enjoyable indie game and honestly quite addicting, I got way more hooked than I expected to.

Backed it on kickstarter with some good expectations and I wasn't disapointed. It was a surprise to discover the game loot and weapon system that wasn't present on the demo and the dungeon are more complexe and realistic. The gameplay itself is good but for me it has to be more dynamic to truly enjoy the fight. The animation and moves are great but on the side of the sound the game lack of ambiant music. And a few bugs spwns out but hey that's still an early access and the game is amazing so why not try it yourself it's totally worth it !

It is fair in terms of difficulty, and there are equipment that you can obtain, with set bonuses, so that you can make the game easier or more difficult for yourself, depending on the way that you want to play. Appearances are fairly basic in this game, in that there is not a lot of detail beyond the simple shapes of the equipment and the characters. But the design is fairly straight forward, and you have a lot of customizability in terms of dyes that allows you to alter your appearance to your liking. Back to the equipment very quickly, is that the character statistics are based on the equipment that you find and wear. So if you really want a nice challenge instead of some assistance, then take off your gear and then go after the bosses. I enjoy simple challenges, but taking off the gear and going after bosses is just not my idea of a simple challenge. But if that suits you, then go ahead. The music is quite good, very nice for setting the moods of this game. It is very situationally appropriate, I should say. As in any roguelite game, there is progression. You develop more knowledge and views into the world that you are fighting trying to save with a journal--serves to advance the knowledge from yesteryear. This is a simple and straight forward hack-n-slash game with progression and a certain degree of difficulty. It is priced just right for a game of this caliber and has enough self-induced custom difficulty to make it a real challenge. The game is easy to pick up, simple to understand, and gets right to the action. It's fun from the beginning after a painless tutorial. The controls are easy to learn, especially if you are using a controller. It is well worth your time spent! [quote]I received the product for free. Такие же мошенники, как мы
The combat is a classic easy to learn, tough to master type. The story easy to follow, and the game rewards players that clear areas flawlessly. It's well worth the price. The difficulty isn't too hard, especially if you are playing with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard. I would highly recommend this game.
This is an alright early access game and it seems to be going well in development. It's a rogue-lite game with really nice low poly style graphics and a color pallete that's very nice to look at. There's a hub town where you are before or after you die and can check out equipent you unlocked and change up your colors and things like that. The combat gameplay is okay, it feels a little clunky at times but overall is okay, it just needs a bit more work. It kind of feels like something is missing with the combat but I just can't put my finger on what it is. The enemy variety is alright, I would like it if there was a bit more variety in attack patterns though. The levels are procedurally generated and are good, I think a few more variations on the different sections would make it even better. As for the game difficulty it at first seems a bit too easy until it suddenly it feels very hard. One thing I really liked are the boss battles. I find some to be less enjoyable, still cool though, but the A.I. needs to be improved on certain bosses, the turtle especially. If you like rogue-lite games, keep an eye on this one as it seems quite promising right now.
