Worst card game I've ever played. 2/10
While blackjack remains a cruel game at times, I feel like RogueJack has a lot of fun mechanics to make it more player friendly. I mean, you'll still get occasionally owned by RNG, but there are a number of things you can to do to increase your odds. Personally, I need to get better at remembering how the different monsters play... or just bother to reference it while I'm playing them :D In any case, RogueJack is a smart mash-up of rogue-like and blackjack mechanics. I've had a lot of fun with it so far and I think you will too.

This is a great little game. I love the pixel graphics environment and the "Ultima" movement style and look. I enjoyed playing Blackjack instead of rolling dice as it felt like I had just a little more control over the outcome of each battle.
I'll open by saying you'll get your money's worth. It's pretty much exactly what it looks like and I plan to keep playing beyond the current 2 hours i have in it. That said, I have a few criticisms/observations. I don't think they ruin the gameplay or anything like that, but they're worth noting: The skill ceiling is not very high. It's blackjack, so if you know that you're most likely to blindly hit into a 10 more than anything else, you're probably going to do as well as you can. I don't think that's inherently bad, but there is only so much depth there. Enemies of different types don't feel very different except for the ones which win ties. I hate losing when i luckily claw my way to 21 against a skeleton, but that's how it does. Movement is a tad clunky when you just need to get to the end of the floor. It seems like there's a 'running' mechanic where you can outpace the enemies 1:1 movement ratio, but I'm honestly not 100% sure it isn't a bug. UI could be improved as you have no way of knowing you are a cowboy or a spaceman unless you remember from a level-up. And I'm not sure how weapons that increase your chance of cards being visible really stacks. Shields are a super rare drop until you have to leave 3 behind on a single floor, which kinda sucks; weapon drops are not incredibly varied. Potions seem decent enough. As I opened with, I think the game is worth what you're paying for it and my gripes are minor and more seeing what potential might exist.
Yes.
Fun and interesting game. Pretty much what you'd expect, combat is determined by hands of blackjack, with roguelite elements. Not a crazy amount of content. I have no regrets picking this one up, it was definitely worth a few good play sessions to 100%.
A fun little dungeon crawler where the main mechanic of combat is playing rounds of blackjack with the monsters you fight. This is super cool, a lot of interesting ideas and mods on how to make blackjack interesting. Needs more content! Make a sequel or DLC!

Actually a really fun way to spend the time, it's like Rogue but with a level system that carries across runs. Lots of fun, kinda BS because it's based on luck and the house always wins.
An excellent, quick little game. Not a ton of depth, but, for a degenerate gambler like me, this is addictive. Fun for at least a couple of hours and it's quite cheap. I've definitely paid more and gotten less. So give this one a go.
